they finally began to eat again
a few snacks here and there
they realized
they didn't really want to die
and that maybe if they ate
people would think
they were okay
and stop asking questions
that just brought up bad memories
but they were so far from okay
they couldn't stop thinking
about you
they traced their lips
where you kissed them

feel your touch

they dropped out of school
and started to despise
human contact

without seeing you
and it was driving them insane

they told their parents
that they were going for a run
hoping to clear their head of you

were excited to see them
finally get out of the house
so the grownups
didnt ask any questions
and the second their feet
hit the driveway
they ran
