Run Away ||Asuramaru||

It was a cloudless afternoon and the sun illuminated brightly against the pale blue sky. Leaves swayed gently as the wind blew a gentle breeze.

He loved it all, wishing that it never ended.

The spring, the sunshine, the teeming life that always seemed abundant.

(y/n) had fallen asleep under a tree, only to be awakened suddenly.

"Where am I?" she wondered aloud as she gazed at her surroundings.

In front of her lay meters of outstretched fields, untouched by humankind. There was no end to the vast field. Even upon the hill she stood on, she found absolutley nothing except for the fields.
It was endless.

There was no doubt, she was in love.

This was her place, her sanctuary. It was safe and welcoming, like a comforting hug.

She didn't know why though.

Never once had she been here, yet it felt normal as though it was always part of her. This

She strode through the tall grasses without much hesitation, knowing exactly where to go.

Her heart led her, while her mind rushed with curiosities.

Where was this place?

Why does it feel familiar?

But it was useless because she did not care.

Those questions did not matter. Her life at this moment was perfect.

Why?

Well because she found him.

Right in the middle of the clearing was a small, almost childlike being with long flowing indigo hair.

"Asuramaru," she spoke, as a smile formed on her lips.

She ran towards him and flung herself at him, embracing him tightly.

The boy flinched at the sudden gesture.

"Huh?"

He turned around and for a brief moment his eyes sparkled.

(y/n) held him tighter as she inhaled his all too familiar scent. It was difficult not to cry, because she yearned for this moment.

Asuramaru smiled, perhaps for the first time.

"I've been here, you know," he murmured softly.

The girl looked up and gazed into his eyes.

"But have you?"

Asuramaru firmly pressed his lips together in a grim line.

He did not know what to say. He tried to speak up but instead shook his head in disappointment.

"I ran away, trying to escape these shackles but instead I became lost. I don't know what to do now."

Asuramaru turned away and pushed (y/n) away in attempt to ward her off.

She obliged but grasped Asuramaru's hand tightly.

"Then run away with me," she spoke, her eyes brimming with hope.

Asuramaru opened his mouth in shock, realizing that he had his answer right in front of him. (y/n) was the only thing he needed in his life.

She felt the same.

And now they were seeing each other, for the first time in years.

Running away with each other, it was their destiny.

"Let's go,"

The couple held their hands together as they began their unique journey.
