i wake up to music in the room. i open my eyes and groan at the light, closing them again. i definitely was hungover. i sit up slowly, not to make my oncoming headache worse. i slowly open my eyes and see everyone else besides Luz awake, watching a Barbie movie. "what the fuck?" i groan trying to put everything together in my mind. everyone was eating breakfast and looked about just as dead as i was. everyone was still in their pajamas sitting in their spots where they slept.

"good morning. Boshca's mom just made us breakfast. you should probably wake up Luz to eat her's before it gets cold. i feel like if any of us try to wake her up she'll murder us." Gus tells me then turning back to the movie. i turn and poke the girl next to me in the cheek. she stirs awake and opens her eyes, instantly groaning just like i did and closing them.

"holy shit my head." Luz complains putting her hands over her eyes.

"i told you." i say in a matter of fact tone. she sits up and her hair was a mess. it was really cute to me. she drags her hands down her face and slowly opens her eyes, looking around.

"are you guys... are you guys watching Barbie and the twelve dancing princesses?" Luz questions squinting around, looking at everyone. all of our friends nod and continue eating. i see our plates of food on the floor near us. i grab them and hand her a plate. "thank you mi amor." Luz smiled, leaning in and kissing my temple. i just nod and start to eat. my brain hurt too much to talk. i eat and think about the night prior. as i go to take a bite of hash browns i then get hit with memories of earlier that morning.

Luz and i are dating. i told Luz i was in love with her! i feel my face turn bright red and i turn my head slowly to the girl next to me. she didn't notice me and was eating breakfast, watching the tv. i turn back to my plate and eat some more, trying not to think about last night and earlier this mornings events.

it didn't work at all because i kept hearing Luz tell me she loved me replay over and over in my head on infinite loop. at this point my face was as red as a tomato and i was literally trying not to gain attention on myself. all this was just making my hangover hurt a million times more. "bro, my fucking head is killing me." Luz complains after eating all her food.

"i told you that you shouldn't drink as much as Amity does. i knew your body couldn't handle it." Willow replies, not taking their eyes off the tv. i couldn't tell if that was a compliment to me or not. Willow turns around and reaches under a pillow, pulling out their dab pen and tossing it to Luz. "it should help a little. we all took a hit at least once before you guys woke up." they tell her turning back to the tv. Luz asks me if i want to take a hit too and i agree. we get up and walk to the bathroom.

i close the bathroom door behind me and turn on the fan. i sit on the countertop while Luz leans against the counter, complaining about her head. she turns on the pen and waits a minute before taking a drag. she hands it to me and i take a long hit, hoping to get rid of this shit feeling. i let out a large cloud, Luz mumbling a 'holy shit'. i give it back to her and she takes a really big hit. i'm sure she was going through the wringer worse than i was.

"you look cute in my sweatshirt." she tells me while bringing the pen back to her lips. i feel my face go back to being bright red and play with the hem of the sweatshirt.

"thank you. it's really comfortable and it smells like you." i mention turning my attention to her. she pushes off the side of the counter and walks to me. she leans between my legs on the counter and reaches up to hold the side of my face, rubbing her thumb on my cheek.

"keep it for a bit, i'll give you a few more of them next time we go to the owl house." she tells me leaning in and giving me a peck on the lips. "i love you."

i felt like i was going to combust when she said that. my heart started to pound and my brain was everywhere. my eyes shift between her lips and eyes. she leans back in and kisses me again, this one much more sweet and slow. when she pulls away she looks at me again. i finally found the words and looked her deep in the eyes. "i love you too." i whisper to her, a smile tugging on my lips from happiness. Luz's face starts to turn red, her smiling like a idiot.

"ugh, i like it when you say it." she mumbled taking her hand off the side of my face and covering her face with it. i adore seeing her this flustered, she's so amazing to me. i smile and grab her hand from her face and start to lean in.

"i love you." i whisper again, kissing her once more. once we pull away we take a few more hits off the pen and leave the bathroom. Luz made sure to turn off the dab pen and give it to Willow. we go and sit down, watching the rest of the movie. Luz held my hand under the blanket and i leaned against her shoulder.

me and Luz Noceda are dating. this world might just be a simulation with how lucky i got.
