Amity p.o.v

i wake up and sit up groggily. i open my eyes to see everyone alseep, incudling Luz, who was on her side and had her arm wrapped around my waist. should i wake her up? she looked so peaceful though. i grab my phone and look to see it was six in the morning. i contemplate it but decide to wake up the sleeping beauty next to me by kissing her forehead and temple.

i hear her groggily get sit up and rub her eyes, looking to me. i hold up a finger to my mouth signaling that she needed to be quiet. "what's wrong?" she whispers as she adjusts to waking up.

"i just woke up. i think i'm too used to my school sleep schedule." i mention as i bring my knees to my chest and wrap my arms around them. Luz takes her hand and moves some hair behind my ear. "i feel bad for waking you up now." i whisper to her, resting my head on my knees.

"don't worry about it. it just means you like my presence." she smirks to me and gets up, grabbing one of the blankets. "let's go outside. that way we can talk normally." she smiles and holds out her hand to me. i accept her offer and get up with her. she grabs the same wine bottle from yesterday morning as we open the glass door.

Luz closes the door behind her and yawns. i sit down on the outdoor couch and she sits next to me. she hands me the bottle and i open it as she puts the blanket over our laps. she puts her arms around my shoulders and i lean into her touch. i take a drink and hand the wine to her. as she takes a swig of it i admire her. i loved Luz's bed head and her voice when she wakes up. "you're so handsome." i tell her, as i look up to her. she stops drinking and looks over to me.

"the attractive one here is you." she tells me while giving me the bottle. i grab it from her and shake my head no.

"that's the farthest thing from true. i'm sure if you didn't have a threatening demeanor you could get literally any guy or girl." i mention as i take a drink.

"have you seen yourself? you're literally the fucking hottest girl in probably the world." she exaggerated while motioning out in the air. i smile and roll my eyes, bringing the bottle to my lips.

"you must be a good liar." i tell her. she smiles and tells me she's only a good liar when it's needed. "well wouldn't that be needed right now?" i ask her, raising an eyebrow.

"nope! there's no need to lie to my girlfriend." i feel my face turn red as i think about what she said. it's crazy to hear her call me her girlfriend.

"call me it again." i tell her looking her in the eyes. she looks me up and down, then getting close to my face. i feel her breath on my lips and close my eyes.

"you're my girlfriend." she whispers to me, then closing the gap between us. i bring my hand up to the side of her face and turn to her more. she takes her arm off my shoulders and goes to lean against me.

"i love you." i mutter against her lips, making her kiss me again.

"say it again." she demands laying me down. i put the bottle down on the floor and bring my hand back up to her.

"i love you." i say again. she moves away and looks down to me. Luz grabs my hands and puts them above my head.

"you have no idea what i want to do to you." i feel my face turn bright red as she looks down at me. she goes down and starts to kiss my jawline.

"where's Luz and Amity?" we hear one of our friends say. we practically scramble to go back to our prior position, trying not to get caught. mine and Luz's faces were bright red and we sat next to each other with the blanket back over our laps. i grab the bottle of wine and practically start chugging it, trying to get over the embarrassment. i give Luz the rest of it as Gus opens the sliding door. "oh! there you are! guys, they're out here."

"hey." Luz says nonchalantly taking a drink of the wine. i was in full on panic mode not wanting to get caught again like the other day. Willow, Skara, and Boshca all walk out but Willow stops, looking at us.

"wait... you guys are morning drinking? count me in." Willow replies going back into the room and bringing out a bottle of vodka. thank god, for a second i thought they knew what we were doing. "you got anything to drink this with?" Willow asks Boshca. she nods and leaves going to grab whatever it is to put vodka with.

i try to peak over to Luz and see that she was also looking at me. both of our faces turn red and we look away from one another. Luz clears her throat and then starts talking to the others, trying to play everything off. i grab the wine bottle out of Luz's hand and drink the rest of it. being sober isn't a option right now.

"Amity? are you okay?" Skara asks, questioning my behavior. everyone turns to me and i feel my face become practically hot magma.

"just peachy." i say trying to play everything off like Luz. which i'm guessing is not going well at all.

"i got orange juice, cranberry juice, and pineapple juice. also i brought us all glasses." Boshca tells barging in. thank you Boshca, thank you so much. she puts all the glasses in front of us and sets all the drinks down too. i pull a 'two shots of vodka' and pour almost half the glass full of hard liquor. i fill the rest with orange juice and start to drink that.

Luz looked at me weird while everyone else was just thinking i was getting plastered for fun and encouraged it. "i'm gonna talk to Ams for a second, be right back." Luz tells everyone and makes me follow her to the bathroom. why am i scared?
