my night after talking to my parents was pretty uneventful. i got a few texts from Luz, ate dinner, and my siblings came into my room a hundred times like usual. but, besides that nothing was big to report on. nice and simple, just how i like it.

i wake up to my alarm and turn it off like usual, i do my morning routine and change into my uniform. i told the twins the night prior that i would be going to Luz's so they made their usual jokes about the kiss but then agreed to take a separate car. i grab my lunch from the butler as i walk outside. i hop in my car and make sure that it didn't look dirty from my siblings. i go out the driveway to school and once i arrive i see a familiar tall latina walk inside the front doors. a small smile creeps on my face and get out the car. i walk in and go to the cafeteria.

i see Boshca talking to Skara. i walk up and say hi, taking a seat. "Amity, what's your deal?" Boshca straight up says, making me go into panic mode.

"excuse me?" i question not letting the panic show on my face.

"the new girl. look, none of the other girls are here. it's just me and Skara, just tell us what's up. we know she doesn't know your sister." she replies almost looking reassuring. which honestly is kinda weird from her. i guess i was thinking about it too long because Skara placed a hand on mine and looked at me with a small smile.

"you can't tell anyone, please. not my parents, not your parents. this is vital information and it can ruin my life." i say furrowing my eyebrows and looking between the two girls. Skara and Boshca both looked concerned and gave me a nod. "i preform at the club. the night one that people like us aren't supposed to go to. i do it without my parents permission, and they can't find out or i'm killed. i work with Willow and Gus there. and that's also how i met Luz, and she got me to join her band. also me and her are like...talking? also i'm gay, and i know that you guys trust me with all of your guys problems and that i don't share much but yeah." i say and then shut up looking to them.

"i think that is the most you've ever spoken to me." Boshca says in disbelief. Skara looks back from Boshca to me.

"of course we accept you. i mean hey, Boshca is gay." Skara says reassuringly.

"i'm pan dumbass." Boshca corrects her shooting a death glare at her as Skara just ignored her. "but she's right, we don't care that you're gay. and i never expected you going to the night club, what do you preform?"

"i sing. and when me and Luz finish getting the band together i'm going to be lead singer. she plans on getting Willow and Gus to join, which i don't know how that will play out. my parents think that Luz is friends with Em and i'm tutoring her, so i'm allowed to practice for the band." i say looking away from the girls. i feel Skara yank my hands.

"can we go?" she asked with stars in her eyes. she then looks like she had a big realization after. "we can be part of the band! hear me out, we want to be rebellious too. it's our last year of high school! and then if we get into trouble, it'll be all of us together. our parents aren't as strict and me and Boshca can just say me and her are hanging out during the day time so we can sneak to practice with you guys. Boshca is good with tech and be the sound guy, and i know bass so i can help."

"she's honestly got a good point." Boshca says shrugging her shoulders. "i'm not against it."

"thank you guys." i reply giving the girls a small smile. "i'll talk to Luz about it." Skara gives me a big hug and Boshca just gave me a thumbs up saying she'd try and convince Willow to join after Luz asks. the bell rings and i was much happier than when i woke up. i go to first period and make sure to take notes. i think about when i should talk to Luz about it. i decided to shoot her a text to meet me in the bathroom during lunch so we can talk.

of course she reply's with 'oh okay señorita bonita.' she made sure to put a winking face at the end which made me groan in my head. i go back to schoolwork and think about what practice will be like after school. i've only seen an outside photo of the owl house so i have no clue what it looks like in person and i've also never met Ms. Clawthorne either. i've seen her mugshot, which is usually with her flipping off the camera. i heard she's the opposite of my mentor, which kinda makes me scared but at least Luz is alive so i can trust that. but also Luz is an asshole sometimes so i also don't put it past them that they will make life a living hell for me.

i remembered that i shouldn't get stressed about it and started to think about what to tell Luz when i see her in the bathroom. i also make sure to remember that she's probably going to try and make a move like yesterday and that i can't panic and have to resist. be strong Amity, don't fall into the gay thoughts.
