i'm not sober at all to say the least, neither was Luz or any of our friends. i notice Luz looks at me a lot differently when we drink and smoke. she also is a lot more quiet and stares at me when drinking. she's still just as lovey when sober though, which i adore.

Luz had her head buried in my neck as i just browse the room, seeing what everyone else was doing. Boshca was coming out of the bathroom, Willow was on their phone, and Gus and Skara were picking out a movie for all of us to watch. they were arguing between 'Heathers' and 'Beetle Juice'.

i hear a phone start to ring and everyone turns to the noise. Luz takes her head out from my neck and reaches behind her to grab her phone. "ah fuck." she sighs, looking at the screen. i get off her lap and she gets up saying she'd be right back. she pats my head as she walks by and opens the glass door. Luz closes it behind her and everyone turns to one another with strange looks, wondering what was wrong.

everyone kind of brushed it aside and went back to what they were doing. usually, i would do the same... but i'm drunk and want answers. i get up after waiting for a few minutes and go outside to see Luz with her back turned to me on the phone speaking in spanish. i was guessing it was her mom since i haven't seen her speak spanish with anyone else. she gets off the phone and sighs, putting her arm down. i walk over and wrap my arms around her waist, causing her to jump slightly.

"hey, mi amor. what are you doing out here?" the taller brunette greets turning around and hugging me. i look up to her and set my chin against her chest.

"everything okay? you were gone for a bit." i ask her trying to see if everything was alright. she laughs and smiles down to me.

"i'm fine cariño. it was just my mom, she's visiting tomorrow. she got her schedule early. we were just working out the details on when she would need to leave to show up." she reassured putting some hair behind my ear. i hum in response and she began to speak again. "i actually had a question for you... since we won't be able to have practice tomorrow, i was just wondering if you wanted still come over to meet my mom... as my girlfriend."

i feel my face turn red as i think about it. me. meet her mom. as her girlfriend. "how did she react to you bringing around other partners?" i blurt out. alcohol is really not helping this situation.

"shit. um, about that." Luz pauses for a second, breaking eye contact as her face turns red. "i've never really had any of my exes or people i've talked to meet my mom. i've only had two exes and they were pretty bad relationships, everyone else i've talked to in the past kinda ghosted me too."

me, Amity Blight, would be the first partner to meet Luz Noceda's mother. "i would love to meet your mom!" i yell, looking at her confidently. she looks over to me surprised on what i said. i pull back and clear my throat, wanting to reword it. "i want to meet your mom. it means a lot that you think i'm the right person to meet her. my only worry is that she'll either disapprove of me or our relationship since we kinda have only been dating for around two days."

"you're a fucking amazing person Ams. she'll adore you, trust me. also, i don't care about numbers. two days, two years, two months. it doesn't matter. what matters is i care about you and our relationship. if she doesn't approve then fuck her, we're much better than to be brought down by someone outside our relationship." she reassured again, bringing both of her hands up to hold the sides of my face. i melt right then and there, grabbing onto her shirt on her sides.

Luz leans down and gives me a sweet kiss. "i love you." i tell her as we pull away. she smiles and leans in again, giving me a quick peck on the lips.

"i love you too. thank you for wanting to meet my mom. she's kind of intense, so be prepared for that. also, you'll need to cover these hickeys on my neck or she'll beat me with a chancla." she laughs, pointing to her neck. i agree to do that and we head back inside.

apparently Boshca's mom came into the room and said she'd be gone running errands while we were outside. we chill out for the rest of the day and get sobered up for tonight. we all made sure to eat something so we wouldn't die from alcohol poisoning. we did a few things like play Candy Land and video games. it wasn't super eventful but it has still pretty fun.

we made sure to take some polaroids of us hanging out for memories and we decided to put them in our band room. Luz and i decided to tell the others that there wasn't going to be practice and the reason why. everyone agreed and wished us best, which honestly was really sweet of them. Boshca brought up me spending the night at Luz's tonight and them picking us up in the morning. Luz practically answered for me and said yes. we decided that on our way out we would throw our things in Boshca's car and on our way back from the club, grab it and then walk to Luz's place.

the tall brunette texted Eda and told her the plan. which after about a hour of waiting finally got a response. it was now just a waiting game until we got ready to go party again.
