Amity p.o.v

"Luz i will beat your ass! do not throw me in the water!" i yell pounding on her back and trying to squirm out of her grasp. she didn't listen at all and starts to enter the water. once she was waist deep she grabs me by my back and under my legs, throwing me forword in the water. she lets go of me under the water and i rise up, glaring at her once i pop my head out. she was rolling in laughter, almost crying.

i stand up straight and pull myself together. i walk up to her slowly and set my hand on her chest. she stops laughing and looks at me, her face starting to become red. i get close to her face and smile. i bend down and grab behind her leg, pulling it up as i push her chest. she fell backwards and went under the water. i let go of her put my hands on my hips, waiting for her to come up. she rises up fast and grabs me, straight up tackling me back into the water.

we practically battle each other for ten minutes. she won because she had more muscle mass and would practically throw me. we stopped and called a truce after we both got too tired of trying to drown one another. we go back up to our spot at the sand and sit on the towel from earlier. Luz sat at the top end and crossed her legs. i lay down on the majority of the towel and set my head in her lap, looking up to her. "you look like a wet dog." i tease her while smiling.

"oh yeah? do you think it matches my personality?" she asks raising a eyebrow. i nod my head in agreement. "ouch, brutal truth." she jokingly acts attacked from what i said. i roll my eyes and look back to her.

"you set yourself up for it. i can't deny the truth." i shrug my shoulders, acting like there was nothing i could do about it. Luz brings her hands to the side of my face and rubs my cheek with her thumb.

"yeah, but you love me." she smiles to me. i feel my face start to turn red and i try my best to push it down. she leans down and connects our lips, kissing me. i feel butterflies take over my stomach as i lean into it. she pulls away and then looks into my eyes.

"i love you." i blurt out to her. i feel my face explode into bright red as i think about what i said. it's so weird to me. i don't tell anyone i love them, besides the twins, and that's on occasion.

"i love you too, mi amor." she whispers, leaning in and kissing my forehead. we hear a yell from one of our friends, causing us to cut our little romantic moment short. Luz looks over and i lean my head up to see who it was. Gus was running over to us and was waving his arms. "do you guys want to join us? we're doing shoulder fighting." he points behind his back and we look to see Skara standing in front of Willow, who had Boshca on their shoulders.

i look up to Luz and see what she wanted to do. she shrugs her shoulders and says 'why not'. so we got up and walked back over into the water. after the battles that we had, Willow and Luz of course reigned supreme. Gus was a good runner up, the only problem being he has no battling skills at all. we decided to all leave the water and go get a few drinks that Willow brought. me and Luz sat on the same towel as before while Boshca and Willow sat on the other. Skara and Gus were playing in the sand. Gus was laying on the sand while Skara was covering his whole body, practically making Gus a mound of sand with a head.

we decided to stay there until late in the night. everyone was right, i got burnt. i would reapply sunscreen every hour but still ended up gaining a red color to a majority of my skin. we had fun at the lake regardless though and most of us were pretty tipsy besides Willow. we had to have them be the driver since we didn't want to get into a car accident. Luz laughed her head off the whole way home about my sunburn. i wanted to strangle her but also fawn over how cute she looked laughing at the same time. i can't believe i'm dating a idiot.

once we get back to Boshca's we all take showers and get ready for bed. we decided to all get high and watch a horror movie just for the fun of it. we go out to the balcony since it was around ten at night. i wore Luz's sweatshirt and sat on her lap when we were outside. Luz wrapped her arms around my torso and held me close as we talked with our friends. "we should watch another Barbie movie instead." Gus mentions while crossing his arms.

"nah. we have to watch Paranormal Activity." Luz states shaking her head no. a confident look washed over Gus' face as he raised an eyebrow to Luz.

"you just want an excuse for Amity to hold onto you during the movie." he mocks looking at her smugly. her face turns red as she shakes her head no.

"that's not true you little fucker! i'm just a horror movie connoisseur." Luz defends turning her head away. i roll my eyes at her childish behavior.

"i think we should just pick a movie." Boshca chimes in acting like a smart ass. both Gus and Luz glare at her. "or you know, don't pick one."

"how about we watch the Conjuring." i offer up, trying not start world war three. i think i ended up making it worse.

"do you want us to go into fucking cardiac arrest?" Luz asks giving me a weird look. i flick her forehead and tell her to watch her mouth.

"we should watch Friday the Thirteenth." Willow finally chimes in, paying full attention to packing a bowl. Boshca of course agrees with them because it's her significant other. it was one of my favorite horror movies so i instantly agreed, which caused Luz to agree with me. and since it was majority vote that's what we decided to watch.

after getting high out our minds we went back inside and got into our makeshift beds. Luz was sitting up and i sat between her legs, she had her head resting on my shoulder and i was holding both of her hands on my lap over the blanket on our legs. throughout the movie, Luz would tighten her grip on my hands during the scary parts. i thought it was kind of cute of her.

about two-thirds way through the movie Luz let go of one of my hands and brought it up to move my hair away from my neck. she brought her hand back down to hold mine and then rubbed her thumbs against my hands. she buried her head in the crook of my neck and muttered something i couldn't understand. i hum to her quietly in a questioning manner, not trying to be loud and ruin the movie.

"quiero besarte en todas partes." she whispered again, lightly getting closer to my ear for me to hear. my face started to heat up as i try to think of a snarky comeback, which wasn't working since i was practically short circuiting. i feel her lightly kissing my neck down to my shoulder. oh god, why right now? this isn't the right time to be doing this.

i turn my head to her and get close to her ear, "at least wait for everyone to be asleep." i whisper to her. she pulls away and looks me in the eyes and nods. i turn my head back towards the movie and try not to just explode right then and there.
