PoV: Hange

Having lost my glasses whilst falling, I tried to grasp after them or Levi, preferably both. Reaching the first part mentioned, I quickly pushed them up my nose before noticing it didn't change a thing. It was pitch black, I was barely even able to see my hand in front of my eyes.

"...Levi?" I eventually spoke up, crouching a little when I began wandering around the area, then hearing a faint 'yeah' from behind me and almost running into him.
"Oh my- you're alright! I'm so glad!" I let out and went to pull him closer to me into a hug out of reflex and relief, falling down to the ground with Levi due to that. But he'd be save, I held him.

"Sorry." He gave back faintly, his voice sounding almost- scared? Since it was too dark to read his expression, i just simply guessed.

"Are you alright, dear?" I asked eventually, leaning my chin onto his shoulder and feeling how his grip on my shirt tightened a little instead of giving a response.
"Huh? What's wrong?" Feeling concern nag on me, I just couldn't let it go. I had to find out somehow.

"Nothing.. just- let's get over with this until we can get out." His head was now leaned against my chest as he slid down a little into my lap. I probably never noticed him that dependant or showing this amount of emotion. As I wrapped my arms fully around him, I kissed his head, trying to show him that I'd be here and not leave. That he wasn't alone.

"You can talk to me, you know that, Levi." I kept carefully combing through his hair with my fingers for a while, just holding him close as he let out a quiet exhale, his grip losening a tad again.

"I know, it's just that we're underground." He finally somewhat explained or gave me the end hint, making me understand what he meant right away.

"I'm sorry we couldn't go anywhere else." That was a dumb thing to say, it was obviously this all reminded him of the place he was forced to grew up in. It was dark and stuffy, on top of that only little freedom of movement. This must be hell for him.
Or that's what I'd feel in his position.. I guess.

"It doesn't matter." His voice still sounded quiet when responding to me. Levi had never been the type to talk about his feelings, he just couldn't properly express himself. At least I assumed it in that way.

"We could try to find a way out of here, or just me because I know it'll lead deeper inside and we have only an almost fully broken flashlight." I hit againt the apparatus which was now in my hands, watching it flicker up for several seconds before disappearing again.
"Dead like my will to live." I shook my head in disbelief.

"No. I'll join you." Levi pulled me up a bit on my hand, a sharp breath being audible once he did so, also leaning against me repeatedly since he was still limping when walking. Not to talk about his scar across half of his face which could get infected quickly.

"But won't that be uncomfortable or wake up memories you buried long ag-," he didn't even let me finish, holding his hand over my mouth to shut me up and interrupt me.
"Don't bring it up now. I made a decision for myself, now accept I'm not leaving you alone here, goddammit." I could practically see him roll his eyes inside of my mind, smiling lightly by the thought of it.

It was honestly kind of heart warming, he deserved better than what he got.

"Alright, but if you want to return here tell me any time." I squeezed his hand which held mine a faint bit, receiving the same as response. Our language had always been mainly small random physical contacts or actions, less words. Except for the weird part it sometimes was like we could communicate in our minds just by looks- but that's be insane.

"Oi, walk, you and your shitty glasses, before I change mind." He nudged my side so I'd lead the way, which I ended up doing.

As expected, it lead deeper and further down.
