Its now or never..

Previously..

She was unable to understand anything. Her mind had stopped working. ' What should I do now?' she asked herself.

She came out of her thoughts when she heard" SURPRISE! So how do you like it?"

She took a deep breath to compose herself and said," I-its amazing , Dad. You didn't tell me that you are coming. I would have-" she was cut off mid sentence by a 13 year old girl. She was her younger sister, " It's because we forbade them to. We wanted to surprise you!" She giggled.

"Y-yeah, I am really surprised. T-thanks."she faked a smile.

"So when we were leaving, you promised us to spend the whole day with us and since it's a holiday because of the beyblading competition, today you can spend the time with us." Her youngest sister chimed.

Maira didn't know what to say, so she just gave her a fake smile.

"After having breakfast, you can go to your sister's room and can have fun together." Their mother said.

As they had their breakfast, they went to Maira's room. Maira's younger sister is Kara and youngest one is Jeannie.

"So, what will we do first?" Kara asked

" We can see the beyblading competition!" Jeannie exclaimed.

"And then we will go to the park!" They shouted.

"I don't know, can't we spend time together next week or atleast tomorrow?" Maira asked hopefully.

"NO! You promised us!" They both shouted in unison.

"But you didn't inform me that you are coming today. What if I would have some plans?" Maira was feeling frustrated with her luck.

Just then she got a call from Kai. She looked at her sisters and received the call with a sigh.

"Where are you? You should have reached here by now." Kai said

"I am at my home." Maira said trying to control her tears that were blurring her vision.

"What?! What are you doing there?" Just then he realised something as he asked "Wait! Are you crying? What happened?" He was worried.

"N-No, I am not crying. Why would I?" Maira tried to lie.

"You might be best in everything but you know what , you are worst in lying. So just spill." Kai said.

"M-my family has returned. I think I can't come there" She said, her voice crackling.

"Then come without telling them." Kai suggested.

" I can't. My sisters are here, in my room and want to spend the whole day with me..." Maira said in a submitting voice.

Suddenly someone pulled her phone from her hand. She turned to see Kara.

" Kara! Give it back to me!" Maira ran behind her.

Meanwhile Kai was saying Maira to try something and Kara heard this.

"OMG! Its Kai! You are talking to Kai!"
Kara shouted fascinated. Kai had to put his phone away from his face to avoid getting deaf.

" Yes , I was. Do you know him?" Maira asked forgetting the fact of Kai being the world champion.

" He is the beyblading world champion!" Kara said the obvious.
" But why is he speaking to you? Are you his girlfriend? He doesn't speak much to anyone let alone a girl." Kara said.

"I had a plan today with him-" Kara cut off her mid sentence by pushing her out of her room" Get out! Just get out! He is the best! Just go and when you will return, you will have to tell me everything!"

"But what about-" Maira again couldn't complete her sentence as Kara said," Don't worry about us, I will take care of everything and convince Jeannie too. You just go"

" Thanks" saying this, she went to the stadium.

At stadium..

"Finally you are here." Kai said relieved. Maira gave him a tired smile as she had to run all the way.

" It seemed like the girl who didn't know about me being the world champion, has a sister who is a huge fan of mine, that she pushed her sister out of the house." Kai said smirking.

" I didn't know about that" Maira said embarrassed.

"Come on! Just win this thing and prove my choice to be the best." Kai said and Maira nodded.

First round

As soon as Maira launched her beyblade, the other blade came out of the dish with a single attack and she won easily.

All the matches went by smoothly but just before the final match, a boy came to the rest room where Maira was sitting and said," I know that you are Maira." Kai and Maira were so shocked to say anything.

"Don't worry! I won't tell anyone. I just wanted to tell you that I like you." The boy was blushing so hard.

Hearing this, Kai felt anger welling up inside him. He had to resist the urge to punch the boy immediately.

"H-How do you know my identity?" Maira asked.

" I am in your class and had a crush on you since the day I first saw you but due to Bianca and her order to boycott you, I couldn't talk to you. Not only me there are so many boys who couldn't express themselves just because of Bianca." The boy replied.

"I can identify you with closed eyes. You are really a great blader and I even like you more after knowing this. Will you be my girlfriend?" He proposed kneeling down.

Kai was now about to lose his temper and was so tempted to punch him that he didn't notice himself taking steps towards the boy but was stopped in his tracks when he heard " No".

Maira said" No" and was about to walk away when she heard the boy asking the reason of her rejecting him.

Kai was so much relieved by her answer.

"I reject you because you don't like me." Maira said simply.

"No please, I love you so much" boy said.

"No you don't. What do you think love is? Its something that frees you from fears but you all didn't even talk to me these two years just because of Bianca's fear. You don't even know me." She smiled darkly." Thanks to her I know that you are lying. If you really loved me then you would have opposed Bianca but you didn't. Only one person talked to me and he is the only friend I have in class , Kai." While saying this, she looked at Kai with a thankful smile.

"You think I don't know you? I know you better than you do!" The boy shouted " Fine, then let's have a bet! If you win I will never tell anyone about this little secret of yours but if I win, you will have to be my girlfriend as I know you better !" The boy said darkly.

Maira was stunned at this bet but Kai was confident about Maira's skills and said " Challenge accepted!" with a confident smirk.

Maira looked at him with confusion about all this.
The boy went out of the room with a smile as he was so confident about his win whispering," Soon, you will be mine"

As he left, Maira turned to Kai and said," What were you thinking? No one has ever defeated him in a bey battle."

"Everything has a first time. Why don't you be the first!" Kai said in his cool and calm tone." Believe it or not, I know you can defeat him"

"But what if I mess up?" Maira said still demotivated and sat on the bench covering her face with her hands.

"You have messed up already. You draw the match with me and now you are worrying about that idiot." Kai said in a stern tone.

Maira gave him a smile and said ," Thanks. I needed that."
