After some time, Maira wiped her tears and said ," Fine, if everybody wants to see me alone, even my parents, then let it be!"
She got up and cleaned her cut. She tried to fall asleep but failed terribly. She couldn't stop but think that why her father has denied her to talk to Kai, what is wrong with her talking to Kai?
She was feeling bad that what she would say to Kai? She won't be able to face him. He had helped her a lot but now what is she going to do? She was feeling as if she was going to lose everything.
She would be alone again. Again nobody will talk to her and she will have to spend school hours with her books.
'Why do I have to live alone at the end?' Tears rolled down her cheeks uncontrollably. ' I hate being alone. No matter how much I show that I don't mind being alone but I am always dying from inside just to have someone to talk. Is it too much to ask for a friend? I hate it when people mock me about not having any friends.'
She didn't know when she fell asleep. She woke up at 6'o clock and did some training and meditation to clear my mind.
Then she went down to go to school.
"Breakfast is ready! Its your favourite pancakes, Maira." Her mother said.
"Not hungry." Maira replied in a cold tone and was about to leave when her mother called out for her " Maira don't be stubborn! Its for your own sake that your father forbade you to talk to Kai! Come and have your breakfast now."
"I am not being stubborn. I even didn't say anything against his decision. I accepted it. And I am not hungry at all. Please let me go or I will be late." Maira said in a dull and tired tone.
Saying this she went away. Today she reached school just before the bell rang.
Kai was already sitting at his seat thinking ' Where is she? She should have reached by now.' Just then Maira entered the class and searched for a seat but all were already occupied so she had to sit on her usual one.
As she sat on her seat, Kai greeted her," Good Morning" but she neither answered nor made any eye contact. Fortunately, for her, teacher came and started teaching.
During class, Kai noticed that Maira looked tired and dull so he asked her in a low whisper," You are looking low, what happened?" But she didn't react and kept her gaze at book.
Next period was of sports, so everybody went outside pretty quickly while Maira was still gathering her stuffs. Kai asked her," What is wrong with you? Why are you ignoring me?"
Maira sighed and said coldly," If you know that I am ignoring you then why are you disturbing me?" ' I don't know how to tell him that I can't talk to him. I think it would be better if Kai stop talking to me himself or he won't let me to do so' she thought.
Kai narrowed his eyes at this but left. He knew Maira that if she doesn't want to tell then she won't tell it easily.
Later, when she was at terrace, Kai went there and tried to talk to her about what's bothering her that she is looking so dull and even not talking to him.
"What happened? You can tell me." Kai tried.
"Listen! I don't wanna talk to you. I don't need anyone. So just go!" Maira said trying hard to not show sadness by covering it with anger.
Kai noticed that she was sad and knew that if he argue more, it would only make her more sad. So he gave up and went to an empty corridor.
Suddenly he felt a tap on his shoulder and he turned to see a girl, who he think is in his class also.
