The next location Akemi and I ended up in seemed to be a cabin area. There were a variety of cabins all prepared and laid out in a circle with one for each of us.
Entering one of the cabins, I saw they had a small front porch decorated with wooden fences that matched the walls. They even had patios at the back with two lounge chairs and items surrounding our talent. There were more items inside along with a nicely made bed, bookshelves, a closet, desk and a bathroom in a separate room.
However, the cabins also had a monitor, speaker and camera of sorts in the corner of the room. I tried turning it on and checking it out, but it was mounted to the wall and completely off, so I gave up. I did realise that every room we've checked so far had one of those monitors. Heck, even some trees or walls outside had one.
Whatever those are for, they must be important. They're everywhere...
Perhaps they're a broadcast system? Or someone is watching us?
Akemi kept brushing this whole thing off like it's no big deal, but he's seriously wrong. Something is definitely weird here. I can feel it. No one would kidnap someone just to put them on some fancy camping grounds.
We exited the random cabin we were investigating to stumble across two people who I hadn't yet seen.
Those two definitely weren't there earlier. They must have just walked into this area seeing as they're looking around.
One of them entered another cabin while the other held that strange tablet-like device up and was talking into it, getting shots of every cabin and eventually turning the screen around to face him.
"Excuse me?" I called out to him. He jumped for a second, but quickly smiled and flipped the tablet around to face me.
"Woah! More new kids. Isn't that cool?" He asked.
"H-Hey!" I pushed the device away as it was right in my face. "What's your problem?"
"Oops. Looks like she's pissed off." He said, lowering the tablet.
"I have a right to be. You don't have the right to just shove weird Ipads into people's faces." I scolded him.
"Sure, sure." He rolled his eyes while keeping that massive grin. "Sounds like this girl is a bit cranky, isn't that right guys?" He talked to the tablet once more.
"Guys? Who are you even talking to?" I repeated.
"My fans obviously." He explained. "Wait...You didn't know that?!?"
"Am I supposed to?"
"Are you kidding Chiyo?" Akemi joined us. "Everyone knows that! And everyone knows him!"
"Someone knows his stuff. I mean, ha, who doesn't? Am I right?" The boy puffed out his chest and smiled again. "A fan I guess?"
"Obviously!"
"I don't get what going on." I interrupted them.
"Looks like I gotta introduce myself. What a rare thing nowadays." He turned the tablet back to face him and winked, making a peace sign with his fingers and flashing a massive grin. "Hey, guys! It's me, Aki, also known as Akihiro Itsuki, the Ultimate Social Media Influencer! In this video, I have no idea where I am. But I'm recording everything, so I'll be able to make some form of content with this stuff for you lovely people to enjoy!"
