"I'm coming, I'm coming!" I yelled through the door as I quickly brushed my hair, annoyed by the person already knocking and ringing on my doorbell.
It was morning and the breakfast meeting was about to start. The main attraction was going to be Akihiro explaining more about the party.
But I don't know why someone keeps knocking on my door! Jeez, can they wait a god damn second?!?
I harshly opened the door and yelled. "I'm here! You can stop now."
I looked out into the patio connected to my front door and expected to see Hidemi. I mean, she's been walking me to the dining hall every day for the whole time we've been here.
But instead, I saw...Akemi.
Just great.
"Oh hey! You finally answered." He grinned. "Good morning!"
"Yeah, no. You can take your good morning and shove it up your ass." I slammed the door.
I'd rather just walk alone at this point
"H-Hey! Chiyo...Come on." He started tapping on the glass of the window by the door.
"No! Go by yourself."
"But you don't get it! I literally begged Hidemi to swap with her and walk with you instead." Akemi explained. "I wanna talk to ya."
"No way! All you're gonna do is make gross comments and try to flirt with me. I won't have it." I shook my head.
"But-"
I closed the curtains before he could speak.
Maybe if I just wait it out in here, he'll leave. I don't even care if I'm a bit late for the meeting. As long as Akemi can get off my back, I'm good.
Suddenly, I heard a loud thud by the sliding glass door at the end of the cabin that lead to the small balcony outside. I turned around to see Akemi, now lying on the floor behind it, rubbing his head and wincing.
"Ow..."
I slightly opened the door and glared at him. "What the hell?"
"I thought it was open...Turns out it was glass." He sat up.
"You're...you're an idiot." I groaned. "You're an actual moron!"
"It's not my fault the glass is so clean!" He argued.
"Whatever." I rolled my eyes. "Fine. You have my attention. What do you want?"
"Chiyo...do you wanna go to the party with me?" He extended his hand and flashed a goofy smile.
"No chance." I closed the sliding door.
"W-Wait! As friends! You should hear me out first before leaving. That's...That's an asshole move!" He cried.
"It's still a no! You're gross." I repeated.
"G...Gross?!?"
"Yeah! Your hair is messy, your facial hair is a bit pathetic, and your clothes are all dirty. And your personality is awful! No wonder your stupid theories are shit." I explained.
Akemi fell silent and slowly got up. "R-Right...Do you still wanna walk with me? I'm trying to be nice! Just...be grateful!"
"You're even persistent!" I said. "Like I said, there's no chance."
"Fine..." he sighed. "Can we at least talk at the party though? I really wanna tell ya something!"
"Yeah right. We'll see." I crossed my arms and stared at him through the glass. "Now run along. I'll catch up later."
