The next day, I was lazing around in my cabin, fiddling around with the settings of the coffee machine I had scored off of Shimura. Yet again, nothing new or exciting had happened at the breakfast meeting, and the food was still super bland. So I decided to substitute coffee for a meal.
But holy crap...This machine is an absolute monster! It has a ton of different features.
Where the hell did Monokuma even get this from?
And that's when I saw the logo.
Shizuka.
You...You can't be serious. They're an electronics company...From phones, laptops and consoles to...Coffee machines, smart refrigerators and even toasters?
Is there anything that damn company can't do? Jeez...
How'd Monokuma afford this anyway? They're extremely expensive.
Whatever. I can't worry about worthless stuff like that.
My hand held the newly made cup of coffee and was about to raise it to my lips, but before I could even get a taste, I got startled by a loud revving noise outside my cabin.
Just great. Now I just spilt coffee everywhere!
Wait, revving noise? That can only be one person.
Tatsuo.
What the hell does he want? He better have a damn good reason.
I stormed over to my door and opened it, seeing my suspicions were correct. In front of me, with his helmet in his hand and fist ready to knock on the door, was Tatsuo. His bike was parked neatly behind him just at the foot of the steps.
"Oh. Morning." He lowered his hand and greeted me instead. "Sorry for interrupting...whatever you were doing."
Tatsuo then looked at my coffee-stained clothes and widened his eyes. "Yikes."
"Yeah. It's worse than 'yikes.'" I repeated him using air quotes before crossing my arms. "What do you want?"
"Didn't you get Yuna's or my message?" He asked. "I mean...I did tell you I was coming."
"Huh?"
I turned back and picked up my handbook off of the chest of drawers by the door. Sliding it on, the first things I saw were two new notifications.
One about Yuna letting me know our group workouts would start today a little after breakfast so we could digest.
And one about Tatsuo letting me know he was coming to pick me up.
"Shit. I didn't even check my handbook." I sighed and looked back at Tatsuo. "I completely forgot about the workout..."
"That's fine, don't worry. I'm still sorry for startling you though."
"Relax, man. It's my fault for not checking this thing." I slid my handbook into my bag. "Why do you even have to drive me? It's not that long of a walk."
"Sure, but I felt bad making you walk. Yuna is already there so I figured I'd give you a ride. Besides, I remember you saying back when we first got here that you wanted to ride a motorcycle, so I might as well let you have a shot."
"Well hey, how nice of you to remember," I smirked. "I suppose I can't say no then. I've always wanted to drive one of these things."
I closed and locked the door behind me but got stopped by Tatsuo.
"Wait. You're not driving it. I am."
"H-Huh?"
"You're just gonna sit at the back." Tatsuo walked past me and started to put his helmet on.
