After putting a bunch of plasters and bandages around my fingers and changing clothes, I glanced around my room.

It was time to meet Shimura for dinner. Yet something caught my eye.

The coffee machine I won from him was sitting on my dresser, still polished and shiny as I recalled what he said this morning.

"Shimura hasn't had a coffee in ages..." I remembered and thought.

There's a coffee machine in the kitchen that I can use easily. It may not be as efficient but...

Shimura needs his own machine more than me.

I nodded to myself and picked up the bulky machine in one scoop.

"He'd better be grateful for this..." I sighed, holding it in one hand as I peeked out my front door. Once I made sure no one was around to see me be sketchy as hell, I locked the door behind me and made my way towards the clock tower.

-

I reached the final few steps down to the morgue and took a deep breath, knocking rhythmically on the door.

I just want to make sure he's awake right now...I don't want another incident like this morning.

I heard Shimura shout for me to come in and I did as I was told, opening the door just enough so I  could enter and close it behind me.

"Glad to see you made it." He spoke, turning around to face me. "How was the bea-"

He stopped, noticing the large machine in my hands. Shimura stared at it before finally realising what it was. "Is that...my coffee machine?"

"Yeah..." I replied.

"Why the hell did you drag it all the way over here?" Shimura just shook his head, resting his hand against his temple and sighing. "Did something happen again or something?"

"No! Geez, why do you always expect the worse?" I groaned. "I brought this out of the kindness of my heart, you know."

"Huh?"

"You said you missed having some coffee. And since you need this more than me...you can have it back." I placed it down on one of the unoccupied metal slots. "I'll just stick to the free healthcare now."

Shimura looked down at the coffee machine, contemplating what to say. "Are...you sure?"

"Duh," I smirked. "Besides, if I want some coffee from here, I'll just barge in."

"Fair enough I suppose..." he sighed. "Thanks. It was mine originally anyways."

"You still lose that bet though." I chuckled.

"Don't start with that. I didn't lose...I was just being smart. You're the one that passed out and left it up to me to get you feeling better." He reminded me, rolling his eyes.

"Damn...you're right about that." I looked away, putting my hands on my hips. "That's still a loss though. I definitely won."

"Whatever. You're just competitive." He shrugged, not bothering to deal with that topic anymore. "Just sit down. You can tell me all about your day at the beach while I finish up dinner, alright?"

"If you say so."

As I took a seat, Shimura noticed my fingers.

"What the hell happened there?" he asked.

"Would you believe me if I said my hands were attacked by killer piranhas?" I smirked.

"In normal circumstances, no. But we're stuck in some twisted bear's idea of a game." he gave me a deadpan look. "So I'm assuming that's true."
