Everyone was still feeling a sense of unease after we figured out Yukari's true intentions.

Murder someone, then kill the rest of us with the perk from her wristband.

I mean, having one myself, I understand how risky it must have been. But also how much of an advantage she had...

Yukari could have killed anyone in any way. Stabbing, poisoning, bludgeoning, strangling, crushing...

No matter what she had done, as long as the body was found, she would get to leave. I can't even lie and say it's not a decent offer. But I'd never...The thought of me committing murder just doesn't sit right.

In the end, Yukari is the one that died, her victim killing her instead.

So...Who exactly did she target? And how did she end up in that magic trick?

"Aha!" I exclaimed upon realising what to figure out next. Everyone slowly turned to me after I interrupted their silence. "We have to solve the magic trick!"

"M-Magic trick...?" Kokoro repeated. "Yukari tried to kill all of us! And you want to solve..."

"...A magic trick." Shouko finished Kokoro's sentence.

"Well, obviously! Her body was locked up in that trick when Finn, Hidemi, Tatsuo and I found her. We have to discuss it." I folded my arms.

"Yukari wanted us all dead though!" Finn mentioned.

"And you think I don't know that?" I sighed. "Not to sound like an asshole...But this is a class trial. We can't stay hung up on that. To find the blackened, we've got to move on and discuss new aspects of the case."

"Ah...Could this be? Chiyo wanting to continue this stale trial as much as me-"

"Don't you start." I immediately stopped her. "This is for our lives, not your...weird murder fetish, got it? Keep that away from us..."

"Oh well...I suppose being scolded is still a form of attention from you. I don't mind!" She grinned.

"I knew she was an attention seeker." Satoshi scoffed.

"Anyway, the trick?" I reminded everyone what our new topic of discussion was.

"Yukari did already explain it to Satoshi, Chiyo and I," Hidemi mentioned. "Even I was inside the box for a moment."

"Yeah, but that was clearly the baby-proof version," Kairi spoke up. "So how did this illusion go from being totally safe to somehow murderous?"

"That's what we have to find out."
