The couple, Sungwoon and Taehee, gets up and start to dance. We all cheer for them, but Taehyung is eyeing Sungwoon. "Taehyung, can you stop. They are looking so cute," I taunt Taehyung for ruining their moment.

"Can't help it," We all laugh at his protective self. "Fine, let's dance then," Jungkook comes beside me and nudges me. Before I could skip it, he pulled me in the middle, placing his arms around me. "Okay, I was about to ask Ray," Taehyung complains.

"Early bird catches the worm," Jungkook says and shrugs, pulling me in by my waist. I place my hands on his arm with his one arm on my waist. We sway by the tune. Haechan pulls Soya in, and Taehyung takes Yujin in the dance. We all dance soothingly, and Hyunjae plays the guitar more happily. Jungkook's eyes have a strange shine. Even under the moonlight, it is visible. "I love you," He whispers, smiling widely. No one is watching us, especially Soya. "I can't believe I am still holding you. I lost all my hope and was a mess. Thanks for not kicking me out of your life completely," I smile, drowning myself in his shimmering eyes.

Is this how mesmerizing love is?

"Ray, you're the only one I love."

I look past Jungkook's neck and see Soya, looking at us. I close my eyes before looking up and ending things for the last time for good. "Jeon, I am sorry, but I can't. I am not ready for anything. I am sorry," I pull away and walk away into the woods, leaving him there in shock and heartbroken. I did one thing, broke two hearts within one second.

"Ray," I hear Jungkook, but I don't dare to turn to him. My eyes couldn't help but let go of the tears. I did it, finally. "Ray, you can't do this," Jungkook turns me around, making me face his face full of fear. "You said I love you," He holds my hand and caresses it. "Yesterday."

"Jeon... Listen Jungkook, I think it will be best if we separate paths," He shakes his head, not believing what I just said. "Please, Jungkook, I came here to move on. But you ruined it."

"Move on? Really Ray, move one with wearing this necklace every day, having our picture as your lock screen, and still smiling at me?" I look away in frustration. Why can't he listen to me once? "You are lying."

"Yes, I am. For god's sake, Jungkook, please forget me. Soya likes you, and I can't hurt her," I confess at last. I pull my hand from his grip and grab my hair. "I can't hurt her."

"So you will hurt me? You will sacrifice your love for your friendship?" I nod at him, unaware of the consequences. Jungkook pulls me in to make me look into his eyes. "Ray, I love you. Only you. Even if we break up, I will never even like her, let alone love her."

"You will, gradually. Remember when we met? We hated each other, but look at us. You don't hate Soya, neither does she. So your love may succeed," I am being stupid, making him believe that something can happen between him and her.

"Ray, come to your senses," He raises his voice. "I love you, but I guess you don't," He lets go of me and steps back, keeping his distance. "I did bad, maybe more than that. I admit it, I shouldn't have done that dick moves at that party, but I didn't love you then, and I was out of my fucking senses then. If I knew after sleeping with you, I would love, or after kissing you for the first time, I would be yours. Yes, I willingly kissed you that night. I don't know why, but I did it consciously. I waited there with the hope you'll be back because you made me believe in things I thought were not real. You made me believe in love," Jungkook stops for a moment, letting his stream down. "Ray, I never intended to hurt you, but I did it. I admit it as well. But you're doing worse, selling out our love for your friendship."

Jungkook moves back with tears dwelling in his eyes. "Jeon," He just knocked sense in me, making me aware of my action. He turns around but stops. I look ahead to see Soya with tears in her eyes. "Soya?" Terrifying fear crawls up my body.

"Why did you do that?" Jungkook asks Soya, thinking she made me do it. "I am sorry, Soya. I feel you are a great person, but I am sorry. I can't like you more than a person who is my girlfriend's... my ex's friend," My heart shatters at that moment. Jungkook says it at last. He walks away, leaving me in pain as I look at his fading back.

He didn't even turn back.

"Why did you do that?" I turn to Soya, who asks me the same question. "Are you crazy?" She screams at me, making me look down in shame. "Just once... think about yourself before others," Others reach the spot, hearing all the screaming. "Who do you think you are? Saint? Can't you think about yourself once?"

"Soya."

"No, Ray. What did you even think?" She walks to me. "You lied to me, made me believe it, and you were actually gonna make me have it? Did you ever think how regretful I would've been? Did you ever think about it?"

"I am sorry, okay? I am the biggest idiot. But how could I ruin that bright smile of yours when you were talking about it? I just couldn't," Taehyung runs away from the spot after hearing the sound of the engine. I look in the direction, knowing Jungkook is leaving. I go down on my knees while holding my hair. I fucked it all up at the end.

"Ray, what happened?" Hyunjae finally asks from the silent crowd. "Where is Jungkook?" Soya spills everything as I am devastated to say anything.

"Ray," Soya crouches to my level, having the softness in her voice. "I am sorry. I felt he liked you, but then I thought maybe he knows you and Taehyung, so he clings over you and him only. If I knew that there is something more, then I would've never seen him like this," She sniffs, making me look at her. "I may like him, but like and love aren't the same. Please go to him."

"You?"

"Well, I will move on. I am better than you at it," Soya chuckles before hugging me. "Go to him and never let go of him," She backs up after saying that.

"He is a keeper."
