The morning sun rose fresh and bright in the sky. Bobby wiped the sleep from eyes. Last night had been a blur. After his friends blindfolded him, they drove off laughing and blasting music. When he took the blindfold off, he saw they were at the Kong Paintballing. After his team won, they went to Laser War for laser tag. Then they went to his pool house for beer, a game of poker, darts, and beer pong.
They had fun but, looking around, the place is a mess. Wait... is that a bra? What the heck? He got out of bed and opened the door. Walking into the pool house main area, he spotted his cousin Amy and her friend Lisa. He silently sent up a prayer that he didn't do anything he shouldn't have, while drunk.
He poked Jimmy in the side and tried to wake him up. He poked him again. Jimmy stirred and sat up. "Oh hey. What time is it?" Jimmy asked. Bobby held a finger up to his mouth, and motioned for him to follow. He got up, stretched, and followed his friend.
Once inside the bedroom, Bobby picked up the bra. "Man, what is this doing in here? How'd it get here? And please, for the love everything good, tell me I didn't do something? I'm getting married today," he choked out. This couldn't be happening, not now, not ever.
Jimmy put his hands behind his head and turned around, away from Bobby. He thought back to last night. Spinning around again, he said "No man. You didn't do anything you shouldn't have. Even drunk, you love Mary too much. But that girl Lisa wanted to do stuff with you. You kept pushing her away, even when that came off." He pointed to the blue bra in Bobby's hand, which he noticed his friend looked disgusted at . He saw Bobby open the door and throw it out into the main room.
He continued with the tale. "She even tried to kiss you and sat in your lap. You looked at her and pushed her on the ground. You told her she wasn't Mary. But she found a willing victim in one of our friends." Jimmy shook his head and sighed. "I stayed just sober enough to make sure no one did something stupid, especially you. So even if you hadn't pushed the girl away, I would have pushed her away for you. There's no way I was going to let you do anything disrespectful, to you or Mary."
Bobby collapsed onto the bed in relief. Thank goodness his love for Mary is stronger than his liquor. However... "What friend man?" This could still end badly.
Jimmy gave him a look. "Do I really need to say it?" Bobby gave him a look too. "Who do you think it is?"
Going over who and why in his head, Bobby answered "Johnny." Jimmy shook his head. Surprised, but thankful, he replied "Dutch".
"Yup," Jimmy acknowledged. "But he didn't do anything except kiss her. He didn't even want to really. She kept pushing herself off on him, and Dutch being drunk gave in."
Freaking out inside, Bobby said "What the hell? I knew that girl was going to be trouble. Even Mary knew it. Oh suck!" He hung his head into his hands. "This better not ruin my wedding. Do you think Ashley will be reasonable and understand?" What's he saying? Ashley is as hot-headed as Dutch, sometimes.
"I think she will be, with Dutch. He loves her, even though he's never said it out loud. But that girl is going to get what's coming to her. I won't feel bad when it does," Jimmy stated. She tried to hit on every one of his friends, even him.
They heard the sounds of people getting up. The TV turned on. They walked out of the bedroom. Dutch and Johnny were awake, but Tommy was still out. "Crap! Crap, crap, crap!" Dutch shouted out. He turned to Bobby. "I'm so dead. I kissed another girl man. I didn't even want to. She kept bothering me, and bothering me. So, I gave her a kiss. She wouldn't leave me alone. Ashley is going to kill me. I love her and I've ruined everything." Tears fell down his face.
