"Graduation Day is here!" yelled Lori. "Everybody up! You have to go home and get dressed." She continued yelling for her friends to wake up. The girls begrudgingly woke up, ate quick bites of muffins, hugged each other bye, and drove home. This  left only she and Mary.

"Are you excited? You get to give your speech today. And... we graduate!!!" Mary thought her sister is way too chipper, for eight o'clock in the morning. She threw a piece of banana at her.

Lori looked appalled. "What was that for?"

"That is for you being super perky at this early hour," grumbled Mary. She's still tired from the late night. "To answer your question, yes. I'm excited about graduating. But no, I'm not excited to give my speech. You know, I hate speaking in front of large crowds." She sighed, wishing her speech didn't have to last ten minutes. Lori hugged her.

She went on to explain, "When I need to look out at the audience, I think I'm going to find and focus on Bobby. He'll be close to the front because of his last name." She had already told him this, yesterday morning. He's totally fine with it.

In fact he went on to say, "In a little over a month my last name will be yours too." He can be so romantic and tender hearted. Who knew behind his big burly exterior, is a sweetheart? She hit the jackpot with him, for sure.

Lori and Mary finished their breakfast and tidied up the guest house. Then they made their way over to the main house, where they greeted their aunts. Their aunts proceeded to remind them of the time, and direct them to get a move on. Sometimes they can be as bad as Jimmy with timeliness. All three of them stress out over time constantly.

The girls hurried upstairs, to their rooms, and began getting ready. Mary left her brown hair down, with a bit of wave and side bang. Her makeup is natural looking with a pinkish coral lip, to  go with her fair complexion. Her dress is lace. "Because every sophisticated young lady should wear lace to graduation," says Aunt Kitty. The dress, itself is black, but the white lace is overlaid on top. The sleeves are 3/4, and a cute little black sash ties around the waist. She wore black and white, plaid, heeled sandals on her feet. Twirling around in front of her mirror, she is graduation ready.

Lori on the other hand, wore her blonde hair up. Her makeup is also natural looking, but with a red lip. Her dress is not lace. It's a white v-neck, eyelet dress. It also has short, cute, ruffled sleeves. She wore plain white sandals to match.

They both met in the hallway, and admired each other's outfits. Then they went downstairs and met their aunts in the sitting room. When they entered the room, their aunts had tears in their eyes. "We're sitting here reminiscing about the day you both came to us," explained Aunt Pitty. She paused to wipe stray tears. Then she finished talking. "Only two years old, at the time. Now our two little girls aren't so little anymore. You're graduating high school, and getting married. Which I can't think about. I'll cry even more." She took a hankie out of her purse and wiped her eyes.

Aunt Kitty patted her sister's hand and spoke to the girls. "Girls we love you. To mark this special occasion, we have a little something for you both." She stood from her seat, and handed them both jewelry boxes.

The sister's opened the boxes and discovered a delicate necklace inside. A white gold infinity-style pendant set with ten diamonds. In the middle is a precious pearl cabochon, with a small diamond in the middle of it. It's beautiful! They both helped each other put it on.

They gave their aunt's hugs and kisses to their cheeks, trying hard not to cry themselves. Thank goodness for waterproof mascara! They would need a lot of it today. "Now let's get a move on. Your caps and gowns are laying on the back of the sofa. The town car will drive us all to the high school,"  Aunt Kitty announced. She turned to Mary. "Are you riding back with Robert?"
