A new dawn came and with it, a new day for Scarlet to feel like she was in Heaven.
Her minds was still imagining the future fights that her Tribe would soon enjoy and her body was still searching for the strenght to get up and suppress the sweet, sweet fantasy of staying in bed to sleep instead of attending her royal duties.
But she was still the queen, the power she had was a power for dragons worthy of it and lazy lizards weren't worthy.

<< Hey Scarlet, your friends are waiting for you in Burn's room, they want to have breakfast with us. >>

Said Chameleon peeking from the door in his Soar's mask.

<< ... were you waiting outside my room? >>
<< ... let's go, I'm hungry. >>

Following the animus where her allies sat waiting for them, Scarlet thought of the dragonets for a monent.
"They should meet Burn soon."
After all, if they had to choose a queen, Princess Burn had to make a good impression first.

<< Good morning. Did you sleep well? >>
<< Splendidly darling! >>

Smiled Burn, her eyes lingering on Chameleon with clear desire as he showed his fangs in a quick, small growl.

<< It was a pleasant night... >>

Started Moorhen.

<< ... but I fear I'll have to go back soon, I must keep my army in check and my sibs' need me. >>
<< You can go Moorhen, we need our allies to be well organized after all. >>

Said Scarlet.
She wasn't obvious to the MudWing's distaste for her and Burn, but as long as fear kept her in check, they weren't going to complain.
Plus, breakfast was more important, she had to execute whoever was knocking on theur door at that very sacred moment.

<< What?! >>

A timid: << It's me, Peril, the dragonets asked me to call you >> answered back.

<< Come in Peril, tell us again what the dragonets wsnt. >>
<< They wish to speak with you about the prophecy and their plan to choose wich princess should become queen of the SandWings. >>

Exchanged a strange glance with Burn, she smiled at Peril.

<< Very good, tell them to meet me in the throne room in an hour. >>
<< Yes, Your Majesty. >>

And with that, Peril left them alone again.

<< Do you think they'll do the right thing? >>

Asked Chameleon stealing a piece of meat for himself.

<< They're still dragonets, their minds are like clay, you can play with them and shape them as you prefer. We'll make them choose Burn. >>
<< And if they don't? >>
<< Oh, they will. >>

---

After an hour, Scarlet went in the throne room to meet the dragonets, dragonets who came in only a few seconds after.
Burn remained in her room as she was already planning a new exhibit of her museum (for a still alive and pretty displeased Chameleon) and "needed some peace".

<< Ah! My favourite guests! Peril told me you wished to talk. >>
<< Yes, Queen Scarlet. >>

Said Tsunami raising her head after she and her friends had bowed.

<< About the choice of the SandWings' queen, right? >>
<< Yes, Queen Scarlet. >>
<< Then, who did you choose? >>
<< Nobody. >>

The SkyWing just stared at the blue dragonet with a puzzled look.

<< "Nobody"? >>

"Think carefully before you answer..."
Scarlet thought.
She's didn't want to snap and rip Tsunami's tongue out, it would have been only a distraction to deal with the others in that case.

<< We can't make a good choice right now, we don't know anything but what was taught us about the princesses. We should meet and get to know them first. >>

Explained Starflight as the queen held back an annoyed expression.
"Damn, they're not as dumb as dragonets usually are."

<< That's really a clever decision, but there is a little problem... >>

Said the queen.

<< ... why should Princess Blister and Blaze ever want to talk with you? You are here in my palace, in a kingdom that's allied with Princess Burn, they have no reason to trust you. >>
<< We know, that's why we wanted to ask you for some guards and a guide. >>

Said the NightWing again.

<< For what? >>
<< We know that the NightWings are using the prophecy to attack the RainWings, so, we'd like to ask Chameleon's help to make the NightWings understand that their queen is wrong and defeat them if necessary... >>

"Alright, I'm following them. Chameleon's magic could really help with that."
Thought the SkyWing queen as she gestured for the dragonet to go on.

<< Once we stop the NightWings and bring peace for them and the Rainforest, well ask the RainWings to host a meeting with Blister and Burn in their kingdom. It's a neutral territory, so it might be the best place for meeting in peace and get to know the other two candidates for the SandWings' throne. >>
<< That's... that's really a good idea! >>

"If we help the RainWings, I might get them on my side as well and so the NightWings that will follow these dragonets. These little brats are more useful than I previously thought. "
The queen caressed gently the head of each dragonet.

<< Little ones, you're so young and have been sheltered from the world outside that cave, yet you're as wise as any good ruler should be. I shall speak with Burn about this. >>
<< Thank you, Your Majesty. >>

As the dragonets bowed their heads, the queen motioned for one of the guards to go and call her "dear friend".

<< You're excused, why don't you ask one of my guards to give you a tour of the city? You've been here for days and barely got out of the palace. >>

Smiling with excitement, the dragonets and Peril went to search for a guard to ask.
