Night time came too slowly for Chameleon's tastes.

« Alone at last... »

He said to himself, sipping some red wine and admiring the view outside the window with no real interest.
Queen Moorhen gave him and the rest of her guests the most luxurious rooms to rest, he was pretty sure the dragonets' rooms were even more beautiful and interesting than his.
"Then why are they here?"

« Hey Chameleon, I hope we're not disturbing you. »

Said Sunny with a bright smile.

« Of course not, little one. But why aren't you asleep? I thought you five would be spending the night with Clay's other siblings. »
« Yes and we were sleeping. But Sunny had this really cool idea and we thought to ask for your help. »

Said Clay.
Chameleon tilted his head curiously.

« What's this "cool idea"? »
« Well, I thought: since we must stop a war and defend the innocents and it's dangerous... »

Sunny started, gesturing with her paws and keeping her bright smile, oblivious to the fact that Chameleon wasn't even listening to her that much.

« ... and since you're our friend and an animus, I thought that you could grant each of us some cool power to make things easier! »
« This is... actually... »

The RainWing animus quickly tried to think of all the cons and pros of the plan.
"If they get something to protect themselves better, my job gets easier and I could slip a mind-control enchantment in there... Yes, with that, there's no chance they'll turn on us."

« ... a good idea, Sunny. »

Said the green dragon with a gentle smile.

« Yay! Can we choose our powers? »
« Of course you can! Let's see... »

Chameleon's eyes fell on a bowl of fresh fruit on the table.
He knew how well enchantment worked on dragons that ingested cursed objects, Morrowseer was still his loyal puppet after all.
He took his scroll and prepared to write the first enchantment.

« Who goes first? »
« Starflight. »

Sunny said as the young NightWing blushed a bit at the gentle nudge she gave him with her wing.

« Why me? »
« Because it's thanks to you that we have a real plan to fulfill the prophecy. »
« I just had the idea to recruit more dragonets... »
« To make all the tribes trust in us. Trust is the perfect start. »

Starflight looked at the others, waiting to see if anyone had to object and then moving to sit right beside Chameleon, just to take a closer look at the scroll.
"Alright, I could still try to write the-"

« We should put some enchantment against mind-control. Some tribes might have animus dragons they keep secret and if they're not with us in this war. They will use them. »

Said Tsunami.

« Oh, I visit each tribe daily with my masks, I can assure you that you don't have to worry about it. »

Chameleon lied with a smile, after all, the SeaWings had their animus.

« But what about dragons that live outside the kingdoms? »
