<< Is Soar going to join us today? >>

Asked a SkyWing guard as he yawned, trying to not fall asleep on the job as boredom got a hold of him.

<< No, the queen sent him with the Dragonets of Destiny to visit the Mud and the Sand Kingdoms. >>

Answered his colleague, equally bored from standing outside the dungeon's entrance.

<< What a pity, he's the one that got the best jokes. >>
<< Yeah, he's a fun guy. This job is so monotonous. >>

The first guard nodded.

<< I wish the prisoners would try something funny, so we could have fun beating some sense into them. >>
<< Really? Pfft! Nah, I wish I was the one going as a bodyguard with the dragonets, some exercise would do good. And so would a different view, anything but staring at these walls all day. >>

Before the other SkyWing could answer, a scream made them both jump in the air and turn around.

<< What's happening?! >>

Asked the guards running trough the various cells before stopping in fron of Squid and Fatespeaker's.
The young dragoness was on the floor, rolling around and scratching her skin furiously as foam came out of her mouth and her eyes searched around in a panic for something that wasn't there. Squid sat against the cell bars, his back pressed against them like he wanted to slip through the metal and get as far away from his cellmate as possible.

<< What's wrong with her?! >>
<< Moonless Syndrome! >>

Said Squid, looking at the guards' confused expressions and explaining as clearly as he could: << She has been taken here before the others, when a NightWing doesn't get enough moonlight, they'll go crazy because their scales start burning like crazy! >>.
The two SkyWings looked at the other cells, but none of the NightWings gave them any hint of that being a lie, they were all staring at the dragonets with concern and that made the first guard act and enter the cell.

<< Wait Crest! You can't go in there! It could be rabies! Look at her foaming mouth! >>

Said the second guard as Squid rolled his eyes, but Crest ignored him as he let his spear on the floor and went to raise Fatespeaker's head with a paw so that she couldn't hit it on the floor.

<< She's my daughter's age! I'm not letting a dragonet if I can help it! >>

Growled Crest as he tried to calm down the convulsing dragonet.
The moment the other guard turned around to call for backup, Squid got the abandoned spear on the floor and put it around the SkyWing's throat, pulling at it as the older dragon coughed and tried to free himself.

<< What are you waiting fo- >>

Watching his colleague getting choked, Crest tried to get up to help him, FateSpeaker grapped his wrist and pulled him on the floor, rolling on top of him and grabbing his head before he could breath fire at her, slamming it on the floor until the SkyWing passed out, it didn't take long despite the heavy metal elm protecting him.

<< Squid! >>

The dragoness jumped on the other guard before he could finally get free from Squid, the young SeaWing was hanging helplessly while trying to keep the spear's shaft pressed against the guard's throat and was about to give up.
Once the two had managed to incapacitate the second guard, careful to check for a pulse to make sure they didn't accidentally choke him to death, they finally got out of the cell and shut the door.

<< That foam thing was really cool. >>
<< Thanks, but it felt so gross to drool and gurgle like that. >>
<< Yeah yeah, I know, now let's go! >>
<< Wait! >>

Feeling the NightWing pulling at his tail, Squid felt the need to slap her.
Times was against them and while they weren't as binded as other prisoners, the chained wings and the heavy metal rings on their paws were still a nuisance and would have slowed down their escape.

<< What?! Someone might have heard all the commotion! >>
<< But we should help the others as well! >>
<< We don't have the time! We'll ask for help once we're out of here! >>

Before they could argue, they heard Kestrel's voice from her cell, muffled by her muzzle but still clear.

<< Search for the dragon of the Jade Mountain! He can contact the Talons of Peace! >>
<< What?! >>
<< What kind of dra- >>
<< YOU'LL RECOGNIZE HIM! NOW GO! >>

The two dragonets quickly left the dungeon, finding themselves in the corridor and trying to remember from which directing they came when they had been taken down there.

<< Where do we go? >>
<< I think... >>

The sound of steps getting closer terrified the two whispering fugitives.
Especially Squid, he couldn't blend in shadows as well as FateSpeaker, even with her colors not being a full black and the guards being able to smell and hear her, she had a big advantage, while he was a target in plain sight.

<< Not in the arms of the soldiers. Follow me! >>

The two ran away, hoping to find an exit and to not end up facing more SkyWings.
