<< How can you be so spineless? >>

Squid sighed in annoyance as Kestrel's voice reached his ears.
Since the three members of the Talons of Peace were brought back to their cells, they kept arguing at the very first occasion. Mostly, they kept calling Webs a "coward" and a "spineless traitor" for telling Queen Scarlet about the dragonets' families.

<< It's not like she can do much with that information. She already knew that Tsunami is Queen Coral's daughter, she could still try to get the SeaWings on her side without knowing about the others dragonets' relatives. >>
<< Every piece of information can be used in war. I thought we taught you- >>
<< What?! What did you exactly taught me?! >>

Growled Webs baring his fangs at Kestrel and Dune.

<< All you ever did was complain and act like victims because... you suffered and that is apparently a reason to make it everyone's problem. You taught me to whine like a damn hatchling, take off anger on dragonets and treat like shit your own colleagues. You aren't worried about this war, you're just searching for an excuse to mistreat the others like you always do and you know what?! >>

The SeaWing looked directly at Kestrel.

<< Maybe it's for the best that your daughter didn't grow up with you. You aren't that different from Scarlet after all. >>

The dragoness grabbed his throat in an instant, her paw reaching between the cell's bars so easily even with how close those were, yet Dune couldn't help but shiver worry at the impact of Kestrel's arm and bones with the metal.
But she didn't even flinch, she only held the green dragon by neck as she stared at him with fury in her eyes and her teeth bared.
None of the two talked, Webs and Kestrel simply stared at each other as she waited for him to back down and cower like he always did and he held her gaze, for once in his life, he wasn't afraid of her.
He was already doomed, prisoner of a cruel queen and soon to be sold to another one that wanted him gone, he had already lost his family and even the dragonets he cared for since they were still in the eggs, he had nothing left to lose and nothing more to fear, for he was already dead.

<< Would you just stop it?! >>

Roared Trickster, finally breaking the silence and the focus of the two.
Kestrel let go of Webs' throat and snarled at him, going to sit in a corner of her cell and trying to hide how much those words had actually hurt her. The SeaWing simply sat down and looked at the fallen king in the cell in front of his, staring and what he thought was going to be his future, still empty of every hint of fear and the rage he felt before.
Squid couldn't take it anymore, he couldn't bear the constant arguing and the emptiness in the other prisoners' eyes, he didn't want to end up like them.

<< Fatespeaker, please, tell me you have a plan. >>

Said the SeaWing looking at hos cellmate.
The NightWing was silent, staring at nothing in particular, her eyes were wide and white, bright like stars and empty.

<< Fatespeaker? >>

Webs approached her slowly, carefully touching her shoulder as she suddenly turned to him and grabbed his paw, her voice rising with panic as she suddenly turned back.

<< Stop her! Stop her! >>

She screamed while the green dragon tried to free himself from her grasp.

<< Fatespeaker! It's me! What's gotten into you?! >>

The dragoness finally let him go, gasping and taking deep breaths to calm down as she looked around the cell.

<< Where are we? Where are the SkyWing dragoness and Chameleon? >>
<< What about them? >>

Fatespeaker was reluctant at first, but finally talked.

<< Look, I know I often lied about having visions of the future and the few I had... I don't even know if they were visions or just dreams. But you have to believe me now. Alright? >>
<< Fatespeaker, you had bright white eyes and were in a trance. That was either a vision, or you have some medical problems and right now, I want to believe the first option. >>
<< Very well. 'Cause I've seen a bright colored SkyWing, a dragoness with smoke coming out of her. She destroyed a scroll in front of Chameleon and he looked desperate and then... then there was this... I don't know. It was a shadow coming out of a mountain and it was huge! I mean really huge, like a giant drag- >>
<< Wait! >>

Hunter's head popped out of his cell.

<< Have you seen what that shadow looked like? Was it like a black dragon? >>
<< I don't know, that part was hard to see. >>

The adult dragon looked at his fellow NightWings with sudden fear.

<< You think it's that legend? >>
<< There is no way she could know about that. She wasn't born in the tribe. >>
<< I'm sorry. But what are you talking about? >>

Asked Fatespeaker, but another prisoner interrupted them as he stuttered in fear.

<< The SkyWing dragoness with the smoke and brighter colors must be Peril. >>
<< Peril? >>
<< Queen Scarlet's champion, an abomination that was born to kill and destroy everything she touches. >>

"If this 'Peril' exists and the NightWings are worried about the shadow in the vision..."
Webs looked back at his cellmate, swallowing the lump in his throat as he tried to not show too much of his discomfort.
Something really bad was about to happen, sooner or later.
"I don't want to be there when that happens."

<< Fatespeaker, we need to get out of here. >>
<< Mh? How? >>

He may have not been the best of the dragonets when it came to fighting and everyone who knew him would have described him as a "whiny, balless and spoiled brat obsessed with treasures", as Viper called him once, but he wasn't that stupid and the call of his survival instinct was helping his willpower.

<< Those dragons don't know much about NightWings and I didn't hear a thing about Morrowseer teaching them, he's locked here most of the time. And you have been locked here longer than the others. >>
<< So... we could trick them! >>
<< Exactly. >>

They just needed a good plan.
