Dreams, a bittersweet nightmare. They convince your mind that everything is okay, no matter what. The dreams themselves are fine, it's the waking up that's the problem. Aria groaned as she rolled out of her bed.
She finally claimed her father's house as her own, considering he was never coming back to have it as his.
...
Aria was sick and tired of everyone she talked to trying to "help her" or "fix her". She needed to go to someone who wouldn't try any of that. She needed someone who simply didn't care. As much as she hated the idea, only one place came to mind. Her father's house.
When she got closer to the house she saw a for sale sign in front of it. Aria furrowed her eyebrows and ran into the house. She walked into her father's bedroom and saw him packing bags.
"Oh, good. You're here. I didn't really want to send the police to go find you. Go pack you shit." James spoke.
"Are we going somewhere?" Aria asked confused but not totally hating the idea.
"No, I am leaving to the mainland, got a good job and I can get out of this shitty island," James countered.
"Wait, you're- you're leaving me?" Aria questioned.
"Why do you care? You ain't my daughter." James shrugged.
"But I am. You can't go without me, I have nowhere to stay." Aria said.
"Well, frankly, I don't care. I just don't want your pathetic ass anywhere near me." He answered.
"Y'know, I was always waiting for you to act like a real dad... but you haven't done that one time, not a single moment in my life have you even acted as my father," Aria yelled.
"Because I never was your father! And I'm glad as hell I wasn't!" James yelled back at the girl.
"I don't get it! I am supposed to hate you! I do hate you! But I still want you in my life! You're an asshole, an abusive dick but I don't want you to leave." Aria looked to the floor. She didn't know why, but she didn't want him to leave.
He may have been a terrible father but he was the only parental figure she had left. Her mum was gone, Big John was gone, She couldn't exactly just show up at the Heyward's place anymore, he was it.
"Well what does that say about you," James answered as he walked out of the door with his bags in his hand. Aria sniffled and watched him leave. As she watched everyone leave.
...
"One, two, three," Aria whispered look at the clock that just struck eight am after her countdown.
Aria sighed as she looked out the windows to see the women that come once a week with a new family trying to sell the small house on the cut. Aria didn't know why she would even try to sell it, if people wanted it, it was because they couldn't afford a good house.
"Hey, Barbara!" Aria yelled. "What you doing back here?!"
"Sweetie, I'm gonna need you to leave the house, this place doesn't belong to you anymore!" Barbara responded trying to sound sweet in front of the family and not her normal venomous sound when facing the young girl.
"No, see that's not gonna work! I own this house! I own it for the next two months. So, unless, you want me to call the police to escort your lonely, bitch ass out of here, I suggest you take your Addams family and go!" Aria responded as she normally does, with insults and sarcasm, her go-to tone of voice.
