"Hey," JJ spoke as she sat down next to Aria on the side of the car, still on the ferry.

"Hi," She mumbled looking up at the blue sky.

"Do you think we are walking into a trap? I mean, I've thought about it and it's not the smartest idea going to see people who we don't know, but then again-"

"Shut up," Aria cut JJ off. "Have you actually thought about it or are you just bored and need someone to talk to, considering Kie is napping and Pope is, well I don't even know where Pope is."

"I may just want a conversation, is that so bad," JJ shrugged.

Aria sighed. "Look, I'm tired of all the fighting, can we just be friends, like how we were before, just forget it."

"What part? The break-up or the relationship," JJ mumbled.

"Both?" Aria suggested. "If anything it only stirred up unnecessary drama within the group, and I kind of miss being with you guys, you know,"

"Yeah, sure," JJ agreed to hide the hurt because he knew this was better than nothing. "But can we stop the awkward tension, it's kind of annoying."

"I don't see why not," Aria shrugged. JJ nodded and then both the Pogues sat there in silence, in awkward silence.

"Good job stopping the awkward tension," Aria spoke sarcastically.

"Shut up," JJ rolled his eyes. "Weed?" JJ asked taking out a joint and the lighter with both their names on it.

"Yeah," Aria nodded.

...

"Guys, I've read this thing like a thousand times. It makes no sense," Kie said sitting in between Aria and Pope.

"It's pretty clear to me, get evidence to save JB and come alone, you sure your smarter than me," Aria joked.

"I mean, the Limbreys own, like, half of Charleston. What do the Kook kings of Charleston know about a murder on Kildare Island?" Kie answered.

"Yeah, and why you specifically? That's the other creepy thing. You know?" JJ agreed.

"Because Pope went to the scholarship interview, and Pope said they were benefactors, or something, so they already knew of his involvement," Aria shrugged.

"Well, yeah, but why didn't they say something like, bring the people you worked with, or whatever?" JJ asked.

"'Please come alone.' That's hella sus," Kie agreed.

"I was thinking the same thing. I think it's because-" Pope trailed off after hearing the engine spluttering.

"What is that?" Aria asked as steam started to hiss.

"Oh, come on," Pope stated annoyed.

"What's that?" Kie asked again.

"Oh," Aria mumbled in shock as gas started to come out of the car.

"Pullover. That's a lot of smoke, even for your dad's truck," Kie told.

JJ started coughing, while Aria was smart enough to hold her breath. "Pope, I got sensitive lungs, man!" JJ yelled.

"I know. I know. I'm pulling over," Pope answered.

"Pope, just slow down!" JJ enforced.

"Jesus!" Aria exclaimed as Pope nearly ran into a tree.

"What are you doing, dude?!" JJ yelled seeing how fast Pope was pulling over.

"Okay, sure. Yeah, right now," Kie spoke. "Shit!"
