Sarah stayed with Wheezie that night and Aria's never let go of JJ. He held her as the Pogues walked back to the twinkie, he sat her on his lap for the drive and now he was looking through her pockets for the key to her door.
JJ thought it would be better if they stayed the night by themselves so Aria could figure out whatever she needed to without being hounded by questions the Pogues had.
He picked Aria's body back up from the hammock since she fell asleep on JJ in the twinkie, he carried her bridesmaid position as he walked through her small house, kicking the front door shut on his way.
Aria shuffled slightly as JJ placed her gently on her bed. She turned onto her side and hugged herself tightly. Her eyelids fluttered open as JJ walked out and grabbed two beers.
She sat up very confused, the last thing remembered was being in the twinkie and now she was in her bedroom. Aria heard someone walked outside her room and quickly she pulled out her small pocket knife.
The door opened slowly, like something that happens in a horror movie. Before Aria really thought she threw the knife as she saw a shadow walking into the room.
The knife embedded itself in the door frame an inch next to JJ's face. He looked at the knife with wide eyes then turned to Aria who gasped and then covered her mouth with her palm trying to stop her laughter.
"That nearly killed me!" JJ exclaimed as his heart was beating so loud and fast he could hear it in his ears.
"Well, I thought you were here to kill me!" Aria shrugged.
"Why would I kill you?!" JJ scoffed.
"Why wouldn't you?!"
"You just threw a knife at my head!"
"I didn't know it was you!"
"Who else would it be?!"
"Whoever else wanted to kill me!"
"I don't want to kill you!" JJ finished.
"Whatever," Aria said as she walked up to the door frame and pulled the knife out, leaving a small hole in the wall.
"How are you?" JJ asked softly as he handed her a beer.
"Just peachy," Aria mumbled as she opened up the beer can.
"What's up with you today?"
Aria turned her head to look at him, he looked seriously confused and worried. "Nothing," She replied shortly.
"Ari, I know you, what happened?"
"Nothing, JJ," Aria sighed annoyed he kept pestering her.
"Look, I saw you, something happened to you at that dock, what was it?"
"Not-" JJ cut her off.
"Aria, don't make this about our relationship,"
Aria straightened up at that, she raised a questioning glance at JJ but ultimately she knew he wouldn't back down. Something was telling her to just tell him, he was the only person to know about her mum and she just wanted to go back to sleep.
She took a deep breath mentally preparing herself. She knew JJ would care, she knew he would help her, but she didn't trust him enough to want to help her, she thought he would think he needed to help her.
Aria never needed anyone's help, but the few times she did they were never there. Hell, she could count the times on one of her hands, only three times.
