Part 19 : Danielas Delight

(y/n) PoV

After belas hug she hurried me off to bed as it was getting late now.

"we will practice writing later shall we?"

I nodded and she took me to my room. Bela tucked me in the satin sheets planting a kiss on my forehead.

"can you read me a story please sis?"

"of course sunflower, what would you like?"

"village of shadows please!"

She nodded and got the book of the shelf. Bela got it and sat next to me, I placed my head on her side as she read the book to me.

Slowly I nodded off to sleep, the smell of roses comforting me.

The sun flooded through the blinds as I heard the voice of dani wake me.

"hey, psst it's time to get up now, breakfast is in 10 so be ready!"

I rolled over groaning,

"what time is it?"

"6:20, now get up!"

With that she jumped on my bed making me laugh. I sat up to see her sprawled out on the bottom of my bed.

She had a cheesy grin plastered on her face as she poked my foot. Rolling my eyes I made my way out of bed.

"now now hurry mother doesn't like dawdling!"

I chose my clothes then went into the bathroom.

Once I was ready I found my way to the main hall. It was the same seating positions as always. Me and dani were discussing about her teaching me the piano today!

I ate the full English breakfast, leaving the black pudding and  mushrooms, then was excused from breakfast.

"(y/n)? What are you doing today?"

Alcina sounded curious yet worried about me. I gave a big smile and looked at her pale face.

"auntie, I'm with dani today learning the piano!"

Alcina smiled and stood up from her chair, walking over to me.

"once you have concluded your lesson please come see me."

"yes auntie!"

She engulfed me in a large bear hug and I ran of holding dani's hand.

She showed me to the music hall and sat me on the piano stall. Dani sat next to me and opened the sheet music.

"ooh 'moonlight sinatra'... that's the one you were playing wasnt it!"

"yes now let's go over the basics of piano..."

Hours later me and dani were somewhat playing parts of it. Dani played it I copied then I play it and she corrects me.

The sounds of music made everyone and everything feel so much better. Looking at dani as she played made me sit in awe.

Her timing and precise timing made my heart flutter. Why was she shunned by her sisters?

Once I was sat in the hall and I heard dani and cassi fighting over how something should be done. Cassi was really mean to dani calling her things that were really nasty. Luckily Alcina spoke up and scolded cassi for it.

Snapping out of my thoughts as dani told me to repeat what she just played. It was so much fun!

"well we have a fast learner on our hands! It's a pitty really..."

"what is?"

"n-nothing, you better go find mother now as we have finished... Same time tomorrow?"

"huh... Yeah suppose I should. Of course that's if bela and cassi allow it"

I laughed at the end and dani joined in. Laugher filled the emptyness making it feel like a home not some old castle.

-daniela's PoV-

This innocent child, their curiosity makes me feel good. They make these halls feel like a home.

How fast they picked up piano truly is a gift.

Seeing them smile at me before they leave to find mother makes me feel strange.

"hey, c-can I have a hug"

"of course you can dani! Your my sister!"

Those words echoed in my head as I saw them smile at me.

As they came running to me, arms outstretched, I felt so happy like all the times my sisters and other 'family make me feel so bad.

The warmth of the hug made me feel safe like I was wanted not as some extra . They really know how to change someone.

Nothing shall hurt them, nothing.
