I scratched my ideas down on the paper, the parts and metals taking form into my image. they had to be strong, durable, intimidating and agile. thats when they came to be the soldat Jet. these were like the ones karl was making but they had a little bit more armor and range since they are a jet propelled machine that with the mass of the metal could jump several meters up and across. i wasnt a mathsy person so ill let karl figure it out precisely.

being proud with the inital sketch i looked for some more blue print paper since i could improve this design whilst keeping the original. i fumbled around his office looking for more paper but i used the last sheet. i pushed back on the table and the chair swivvled backwards with the rattling of the metal wheels as they turned and rolled. i got up and decided i should go out and get some from the duke.

the duke hasnt changed one piece, im often the one to go get things from him as karl cant being dealing with him so im sent. i last saw him yesterday, i went to go get some snacks for myself as i was working with karl on the wiring of some of the soldats. he knew something was up.

"DAAAAADDDD!!!"

"YEEEAAAAAHHHH!"

i hollared out as i wandered out the room into the hallway. thats when i saw him peer around the corner, eyebrows slightly raised. i remained cemented to the spot. muscles incapable of moving and voice unable to ,ake a sound.

"Did you just..."

"I... Yeah."

"Why"

"I Dont... im sorry."

"No no, its okay... just took me by supprise."

"But you responded aswell"

there was a stunned silence. i rubbed the back of my neck as he took his glasses off and 'cleaned' them in the fabric of his shirt.

"imma just go get some more paper..."

i paced backwards and used fingerguns as i made my way to the door, breaking into a jog as i left onto the front yard. thoughts pounded in my head as the suns beams cascaded down onto the light grass, swaying in the breeze. it was a lovely day, the crunch of leaves under my feet as i walked over to the bridge, the stones cracked and well worn as they had a bit og a glitter to them under the low sun. i took a moment on this bridge, hanging onto the edge, to look down and watch as the water softly moved through the river banks carrying leaves and other debris through. i just called him dad. what the hell was i thinking. i rested my elbows, rubbing the back of my head listening to all my thoughts at once.

It was getting late so i need to get to duke before he moves or closes. groaning i trudged through the estate. the soft chitter of birds echoed through the trees, smiling i looked up to see a murder of crows...
