Part 36: Peace Comes In The Morning

I fell asleep in Karl's bed as it made the fear disappear. I had a dreamless sleep as the warmth from Karl made me smile knowing nothing could hurt me.

Last night put that in perspective for me.

I woke up in an empty bed, I slowly began to panic as I frantically looked around for him.

Then I hears the door open, Karl came in with a 2 metal trays of breakfast leavatating.

"good morning little shit, how are you doing"

He placed the tray on my lap and sat next to me with his tray.

"better now, thank you."

"no need to thank me"

I let out a slight gigle as he spoke with his mouth full.

Eating the cooked breakfast, my stomach felt full and I felt content. I pushed the tray away and put my head on Karl as I was full.

"so today I'm heading to a meeting with mirander and it's up to you if you want to come along or... Or you can spend the afternoon with the duke or the sisters. It's up to you"

It felt like an anvil hit my chest at thr mention of... Her. However I liked how I have a choice.

"can I go see the sisters please"

"sure just take ur backpack and ill ring mega bitch."

Karl walked out of the room then cane back with a change of clothes for me.

"to save ya time, now shoo get ready"

He dramatically gestured for me to go to the bathroom.

I laughed and walked into the bathroom locking the door behind me.

After getting changed, I met Karl in thr large field out front of his factory.

"so I rang mega bitch about you going over, she said yes. I'll be away for about what 2 to 3 hours depending."

He knelt in front of me and held my hands.

"you cannot, I mean cannot bring up about the situation okay they will tell mega bitch then she will tell... Her. Okay, do you understand?"

"uhuh yeah I understand"

I nodded affermatively. He put his hat on and walked me to the castle.

Along that walk I breathed deeply taking in the cool air as it filled my lungs.

We reached the gate of castle dimitrescu and Karl kicked the door.

"hey! You in here, (y/n)'s here"

The large doors swung open and I was greeted with the smile of Alcina.

"ah yes, hello again, I've missed you"

She knelt down to pick me and gave me a hug, I tried my best to hug her back. She wasnt warm nor did she have a heart beat, but I didn't care the hug was soft and comforting. However Karl's was more secure.

Alcina put me down and rolled her eyes at Karl.

"I'm sorry I can't stay but I'm sure your aware that there's a meeting, so the girls will look after you. Have fun."

The large door closed and I heard them bicker between the two. I laughed till I heard the sound of wings behind me.

"ah my little sunflower!"

"Bella!"

I ran into her and she accepted the hug I gave her, well her legs.

She laughed then I heard more wings.

"dani and cassi!"

I was engulfed in one big group hug.
