As I wandered down the pathway to uncle Karl's factory it was a really nice walk till I didn't know how to get down to the platform below me.

I sat down on the cool concrete and thought. I could get karl by using the bracelet however he might think I'm in a life or death situation.

I decided to wait for him.

I saw a crow perched on the door frame, it's black wings glistening in the low sunlight. It's needy eyes looking as if studying me.

I put my head in my hands.

Seconds later a woman came out of nowhere and started to walk towards me. She was tall and had a large... head?

She came close, her features becoming more distinct. I felt a wave of panic wash over my chest like I was in fight of flight.

The lady was about 3 meters away and I cowered back.

"my child, no need to fear me"

"I already do miss"

"ha I can see why heisenberg has taken a liking to you child"

"heisenberg?... Oh uncle Karl!"

She looked at me with a confused look. Then she shrugged it off.

"what are you doing alone my child"

"Well I waass on my way back to his factory but I kanda forgotten how to get there hehehe"

She let out a dark yet regal laugh and she knelt down to me.

"maybe I can help you..."

She patted my head and stood up, I stood up as well watching the vaguely familiar woman build platform for me to go down

"there you go my child, only you can use this not me or anyone in the village can."

"thank you miss!"

"please call me mother miranda."

At that my mind swirled to a halt
... The Mother Miranda

"thank you mother miranda..."

"no proplem child, if you need my assistance just recite this..."

She handed me a slip of paper

It read:

'Great ones, hear our voice, together as one in reverence. We call on thee within the endless dark to deliver us into fate's hands. As the midnight moon rises on black wings, so we make our sacrifice and await the light at the end. In life and in death, we give glory, Mother Miranda'

That's so long, I thought it might have been shorter.

"um mother miranda..."

"yes child"

"can I just say from 'as the midnight moon rises on black wings'"

"if that would be more comfortable than yes"

And with that she vanished into a murder of crows.

I looked at what miranda did quite nifty if I do say so myself. It's like an old fashioned mine lift but metal and a palm reader.

In got on and activated the lift.
