It was the middle of October in 2003. Three children were running around and playing in a backyard. The two older children, a boy and a girl, both seven years old, were being chased by the younger child, who was a four year old girl.
The seven year old boy had light brown hair like his mother, but looked just like his father. The seven year old girl had dark brown hair like her father, had a good mix of both of her parents' features. She has the exact same smile as her mother.
The four year old girl had dark brown hair like her mother, but it was curly like her father's. She had bright blue eyes like her father and had her mother's nose and smile.
"Nathan! Wendy! Stop! I can't run fast like you! I got little legs," the four year old said while stopping to catch her breath.
"Then, grow taller, Sophie," the seven year old boy told her as he kept running.
"I can't. I tried," the four year old said. The seven year old girl, who was now known as Wendy, then tackled the seven year old boy, now known as Nathan, to the ground and began tickling him. The four year old, who was now known as Sophie, climbed on top of Wendy and began tickling her as well.
A few minutes later, three women walked out onto the back porch. The oldest woman was thirty. The second oldest woman was twenty nine. The youngest of the three women, who had just turned twenty seven a little over two months ago, was holding her ten month old daughter.
"Sophia Christine Moscow! Get off of your cousin please! You need to wash your hands before we eat lunch," the twenty nine year old said.
"Okay, Mommy," she said while getting off of Wendy and running up to her mother.
"And happy birthday again, sweet girl," the twenty nine year old said with a smile.
"Thank you, Mommy," Sophia said."Wendy Michelle Goorjian and Nathan Peter Goorjian! Please quit wrestling...or fighting...or...whatever it is you're doing! You both need to wash your hands before we eat too," the thirty year old said.
"Okay, Mom," Wendy said as she got off of her brother and walked over to her mother."I'm so glad Izzy doesn't talk back yet," the twenty seven year old said.
"You may hate the sleepless nights now, but you'll definitely miss her being this tiny once she gets that big, Gia," the thirty year old said as she messed up her son's hair.
"If you say so, Mel," she said."Vic, I need your help with the...uh...cake so this cute thing doesn't see it," a familiar voice said after he walking outside and hugging Sophia.
"Okay, Davey," she said while walking inside with her daughter and husband."Gia, your mum needs you for something. I can take Izzy if you want me too," a familiar man said as the twenty seven year old walked inside with Melanie, Nathan, and Wendy.
"That would be great, Christian," she told him while handing him the ten month old."Mel, I think you might have left this in the kitchen," a man said while handing her a diamond ring.
"Oh, thank goodness you found my engagement ring, Mikey! I'm so relieved you found it! I was internally freaking out that it was gone forever. Where was it," she asked her husband.
"By the sink. Thank goodness someone didn't accidentally knock it down the drain," he answered.
"I'm still glad you found it," Melanie said.
"It's no trouble, Mel," Michael told her before kissing her cheek."Aunt Mel! Uncle Mikey," Sophia exclaimed, which caused her aunt and uncle to laugh.
"Yes, Sophie," Melanie asked.
"You gotta come eat, so I can eat cake soon, aunt Mel" she told her as she attempted to drag her aunt and uncle."We're following you, munchkin," Michael said as he and Melanie followed the four year old to the dining room.
About an two hours later, everyone had eaten. Sophia had opened her presents and was playing with Nathan and Wendy.
"You guys better give us more grandkids soon," a woman said.
"Actually, Cass-," David began before being cut off by Gianna."You definitely won't be getting anymore anytime soon from Christian and me, Mama. That's for sure," Gianna said.
"Davey and I have been thinking about it for a couple years now, and plan on trying for another soon," Victoria said.
"Michael and I are definitely not having anymore kids. Two is enough," Melanie said.
"We might have to get a bigger house for your kids to run around in," a man said.
"I think you might have to as well, Pete," Christian said."Bella would have loved getting to know these kids," Gianna said.
"She definitely would've," Victoria said."She definitely would have taught them piano and would have been a great role model for them," Melanie said.
"Don't focus on what could have been. Just focus on the good times you had with Bella," David said.
"You're definitely right about that," Victoria said."My girls! I'm truly proud of the women you have become. Please don't ever change," Cassidy said.
The family talked and cut up like old times, despite a key member missing. They enjoyed seeing the kids' eyes light up as they played together. Life couldn't get better than that.
