Matt's POV: After walking over to Heather, I smiled as I hugged her before looking at Ben and Griffin. "Wow, you boys have grown." Ben and Griffin both laughed when I said that. "So, I guess this means that you really are our uncle Matt now." I nodded and agreed with Ben before bending down to go hug them both. "God, I have missed you guys. Are you guys staying safe during COVID. By the way, it was really niece to see you at the funeral, I didn't expect you there." Heather then smiled. "It wasn't a question. This still seems surreal." I nodded and agreed.

I then looked at them. "Listen, how about you get undressed and I will introduce you to the rest of the family. I mean, you already know Gabby. But, there are a couple other people you don't know. I am going to introduce you to your sibling last." She agreed and smiled while going to get something out of her bag. "Here, I brought wine. We are having some this morning because we are going to need it." I then bit my lip and looked at Gabby. "Do you mind if I drink with my sister?" She nodded and smiled. "Sure thing. Oh and Heather, stay the day. You're family."

Heather smiled and agreed with me as she followed me into the kitchen after getting undressed. Looking at my mom and sister, I then looked at Heather. "Heather, meet our sister Christie and my mother Nancy." She then looked at Nancy and bit her lip. "Listen, I want to say I am so sorry about how I have thought about you for years. I have blamed you for so long for killing my dad. I just want to be honest. I had no idea that it was the true about you being abused. For that...I am so sorry." My mom nodded and agreed before going to hug her. "Of course, forgiven."

Heather then turned to look at our sister and smiled. "You must be Christie." Christie nodded and agreed before going to hug her. "Let me just say this...thank you for your husband's service." My mom then agreed. "Right, of course. I should've said that. I've heard a lot about Andy over the years from Matt and he sounds like an amazing man." She nodded and smiled when my mom said that. "He was. I am just glad that we had the boys when we did. By the way, still weird that you are not just their godfather now but...you are their uncle." I nodded and agreed.

I then looked at her and smiled. "Now, full disclosure...I want to say that you are missing a half-sibling. Sorry mom, I am going to tell her okay? She needs to know there were supposed to be a fourth Casey sibling." My mom nodded and agreed with me. "I will do it then." Heather then turned to look at us both, confused. "What are you talking about Matt?" My mom then sighed. "Matt was supposed to be a twin. His twin sister died at birth because they were born premature." Heather than nodded and agreed. "I am so sorry for that Mrs. Casey." My mom agreed. "Please, Nancy...I am technically your step-mother." Heather just laughed.

"I guess that's right." We all nodded and agreed with her. "By the way, I already told Severide just to let you know. And just to let you know...if my nephews want to join the CFD, I am going to sponsor them and they are going to be candidates at my house. That's final!" Heather laughed when I said that. "You are so going to push them to join aren't you?" I nodded. "It's their destiny! Their father was a firefighter...and their uncle is the Battalion Chief at Firehouse 51." Heather then turned to look at me. "By the way, I saw you on the news doing that news conference. Is everybody okay there or is there anybody I know that has tested positive for COVID?"

I then sighed and went to scratch the back of my head. "Kelly and his fiancé, Stella...she's my Lieutenant and replacement on Truck 81...have both tested positive for COVID." Christie then looked at me. "Wait, Kelly Severide got engaged?" I nodded and smiled. "Yeah. And I am just waiting for him to be a captain. Hey Heather, you know who his dad is right?" Heather nodded and agreed. "Yeah, his dad was Benny Severide." I nodded and sighed. "God, you know what is the saddest thing about this. What do you think Andy would be saying right now if he knew?" Heather then looked at me and laughed. "He would be saying I want a promotion."

I laughed when he said that and agreed. "Oh definitely. And he would be here cracking jokes with me instead of letting me spend time with my new sister. By the way Christie...I never want to hear you call her your half-sister. Her husband, our brother-in-law put his life on the line to save me enough times that she deserves the title sister without the half- part." Christie nodded and agreed. "Understood. And honestly, I am glad I have a new sister. Finally, someone who  can take my side when we are in sibling fights. Oh give me your phone please by the way."

Heather nodded and agreed as she went to grab her phone. "Right, we definitely need to share contacts." I nodded and agreed with her. "Just to let you know Heather...I am going to talk to the CFD and make sure that they cover you guys in case any of you guys get COVID. You deserve to keep Andy's benefits for the rest of your lives." Heather nodded and agreed. "I appreciate that Matt." I smiled when she said that and nodded. "Hey, it's just something I do for my little sister!" Heather smiled when I said that. "Okay listen, I haven't ate and barely slept...what's for breakfast?"

My mom then smiled. "I am making pancakes. I will finish some for the kids. Ben and Griffin right?" I nodded and agreed when she went to yell. "Ben and Griffin, how many pancakes?" Ben then turned to look at her. "Can I get two little ones Mrs. Casey?" Griffin then agreed. "Can I have just one big one Mrs. Casey." My mom smiled when they said that. "Please, we are family now. You guys can call me grandma. I was your grandpa's wife." Heather than laughed when she said that. "Uhm, no offence Nancy but they have a grandma. Can they just call you Nancy?"

My mom nodded and agreed with her when she said that. "Of course, my apologies. But listen, let's get eating so that we can all sit and talk in the living room." We all nodded and agreed when she said that, ready to have a great conversation as a family.
