Chapter 330

Matt's POV: After making my way upstairs with Louie, I smiled when I went to set him down on the bed before looking at Gabby as she stood in the washroom. She must've just taken a shower considering her hair was wet and she was being quiet. She always did her best thinking in the shower and I knew that was probably what she did. "Just stay there and eat your sandwich okay buddy? Daddy will be right back." Louie nodded when I said that before eating his sandwich. Meanwhile, I went to walk over to me and Gabby's bathroom to talk to her for a minute.

Walking into  the bathroom, I smiled at her. "I got us some sandwiches." Gabby nodded when I said that. "Thanks." Going to close the door, I looked at her. "Okay, you are quiet. What's up Gabby?" Turning to look at me, she sighed. "Why must our life be so crazy? I mean, we both have half-siblings that we just learn about today...how is that normal?" I nodded when she said that and understood what she meant. Going to push a stand of hair behind her ear, I looked into Gabby's eyes while she put her hand on my chest. "We make it normal...for Louie."

Gabby sighed when I said that. "I guess that's all we can do can't we?" I sighed when she said that and nodded. "I wish there was more that we could do but...I am not sure what more we can do. Do we need to explain to him what a half-sibling is or what's the difference?" Gabby shook her head when I said that. "I don't want him to know the difference between types of siblings...that might affect how he treats the babies." She then looked down when she said that. However, I knew that was never going to be the case. Pushing her chin up, I looked at her.

"Gabby, listen to me okay...Louie is one of the sweetest, smartest kids I have ever met. He is not going to see a difference between a biological and adoptive sibling. As far as he knows...these babies are just his siblings. And honestly, I wouldn't have it any other way. But, if you want to explain to him the different when we will. That's up to you okay? I am not going to push you to do anything because we both know that you know Louie the best." Gabby nodded and agreed with me when I said that. "So, what do you think we should do when it comes to him?"

I then went to kiss her softly and just held her close. "Right now, we do nothing. He isn't going to understand and maybe that's a good thing. If he considers the babies his siblings from birth...that might be the best and easiest thing. Let's just play it by ear and we will tackle it when we come across the situation...if we come across the situation. Gabby, don't worry about things that we might never have to deal with. You don't know what's going to happen so please babe...don't worry about it and just take some deep breaths for me." Gabby nodded and agreed.

Looking at her, I went to wrap my arms around her and then smiled while kissing her forehead. "Listen, let's go lay down in bed and cuddle up to Louie." Gabby smiled and agreed with me when I said that. Grabbing her hand, I went to intertwine our fingers and led her out of the bathroom. That's when we saw that Louie was already on Gabby's iPad. "Someone must've taught him how to open my iPad." Gabby then blushed when I said that. "I might've given me the passcode." I agreed with her. "You took off anything bad right?" Gabby nodded.

Letting her hand go when she said that, I smiled when I went to get in bed next to Louie. "Hey little man, you like meeting your new cousins and your aunt today?" Louie nodded when I said that. "Yeah, they're cool and she's sweet." I smiled when he said that. "Yeah, she is." I then went to cuddle up to him while getting under the blankets with him. "What game are you playing?" Louie then went to cuddle up to me while I went to grab the plate of sandwiches. Giving one to Gabby, I smiled as I went to cuddle up to Louie. "You jealous he always cuddles up to me?"

Gabby shook her head when I asked her that. "Of course not. Just make sure that he eats." I nodded and agreed with her before going to grab the iPad from Louie. "Hey bud, how about we eat and then you can have the iPad back okay?" Louie then nodded before going to grab the sandwich my mom made for him. Gabby then stared at me when I did that. "Okay, how did you do that? He always yells when I try to take away the iPad." I was shocked when she said that. "Louie, do you yell when mommy tries to take away the iPad?"

Louie then looked at me and got scared. "Hey, what did I tell you about that? Mommy and daddy are the ones who get to decide when you do and don't get time with the iPad. What do you say to mommy?" Louie then turned around and looked at her. "I sorry mommy." Gabby nodded and agreed with him. "You are going to get a little time out from the iPad okay bud? Had I known about that, I wouldn't have given you the iPad." Gabby nodded when I said that. "I agree Louie. But don't worry, maybe daddy can read you a book? Finish eating and you can go get one."

Louie nodded and agreed with her as he went to grab his sandwich and then continued to eat lunch with us in bed.
