Chapter 335

Meanwhile, back with the Caseys:
Matt's POV: As I laid down in bed with Louie sleeping on my chest, I smiled while kissing his head. That's when I saw Gabby come out of the shower. Looking at her, I went to put my finger up to my lips and pointed at Louie. She then smiled when I did that because he looked adorable while he slept on my chest. "He's in my spot." I smiled when she said that before going to cover him up. Kissing the top of his head, I smiled as he just slept on my chest. "He's comfortable."

Gabby nodded and agreed with me when I said that. Going to grab her sweats, she got dressed before looking at me. "Yeah, he does." Getting in bed with me, Gabby smiled as she laid down next to me before wrapping her arms around me. "We all do." I smiled when she said that and agreed with her. "You know that if I could wake him up...I would but I don't want to. He looks so adorable just all cuddled up to me like this. I would feel so bad if I woke him up." Gabby smiled.

Going to grab my hand as she sat in bed with me, Gabby then went to move the blanket so that it was covering Louie's eyes more. She already knew that the sun was going to shine into our room more momentarily so...she knew that would wake Louie up quite easily. By getting him ready to have to deal with that, she was making sure that he would stay asleep a little longer than he would have had we not covered him up more than normal. Grabbing her hand, I smiled at her.

"Have I told you how great of a mom you are?" Gabby smiled when I said that and nodded before holding me close. "Have I told you how great of a dad you are?" I smiled and just agreed with her while I held her close. "This just feels right...having Louie be our first child again. It's like it was meant to be." Gabby nodded. "I am just glad that you never objected to us adopting him this time around." I nodded when she said that. "Come close to me. I don't think we've ever really talked about that and I want to tell you what I was thinking."

Gabby nodded when I said that before getting close to me under the covers. Cuddling up to me, I went to cover her shoulders with the blanket that I had over my shoulders. Wrapping my arm around her, I put my hand on her butt and just smiled at her. "Well first of all, you do know about the final wish thing..." Gabby nodded when I said that. "But the idea that we would be in it from the start was really what I was interested in. That was always one of my biggest regrets. Maybe had I been in it with you from the beginning, we would've never lost him."

Smiling as I said that, Gabby went to grab my hand and intertwined our fingers. "I hate to say this but...I have to agree with you. But I still love you and I am glad we are here now, with our son and two kids on the way. I know we wanted the triplets but...I am just leaving it up to faith. That's what we did starting that night last December. So, maybe this was what we were supposed to do in life. Adopt Louie, making him our son and have twins instead of triplets."

Gabby then thought about it and smiled when I said that. "That actually makes a lot of sense." That's when I felt Louie move and start to wake up. "Hey bud, you have a nice nap on daddy's chest?" I then went to kiss his forehead and just held him close. Nodding as I did that, you could tell that Louie was still tired. "I just have to go to the washroom. Can I fall back asleep after?" Gabby then went to look at him. "You not sleep good last night buddy?" He then shook his head while getting off of my chest to go the washroom. Looking at Gabby, I sighed.

"You are starting to get worried aren't you?" Gabby nodded when I asked her that. "What if he is having bad dreams and he isn't telling us Matt? He needs to know that we are here for him. Think we can try and get to the bottom of this right now?" I nodded and agreed with her when she said that. "Hey, of course we can. Gabby...that's our job as his parents. And if you feel like something's up with him then we are going to get to the bottom of it....I promise."

Gabby smiled when I said that before going to kiss me softly. "I love you." I smiled when she said that. "I love you too...forever." Gabby smiled when I said that and just kept laying down as we waited for Louie to come back from the washroom.
