Throughout the night Asher worried about Andrea and his own feelings, how they grew stronger from the past couple of days, as they became more difficult to hide. "Asher I'm tired of hearing this just go for it, look no one is going to judge you. If you get rejected it's not like everyone in the world will know" Ryker leaned against the table outside.
"That's the problem someone is going to figure out then the entire school knows!" Asher groaned from the stress. "Well if you want to seem like a wimp as everyone around you already knows the truth be that way. Even if you do I doubt she would drop it hard on you" Ryker took a sip of his drink. "Fine fine, I'll confess my feelings, are you happy now?" Asher slammed his drink on the table roughly.
"Very, come on do it, it looks like she's about to clock out for today" Ryker pointed towards Andrea who had walked in with Ava and Diego. "Go" Ryker pushed him, "I'm going!" Asher walked in behind them.
"Andrea! Andrea I have to talk to you" Asher closed the door on his way inside. Andrea turned around and stood there, "Asher? Can't this wait they want to show me something?". "No it can't, can I please just say something, quickly?" Asher begged. Andrea looked towards Ava and Diego, "We could wait, we don't plan to leave anytime soon".
They walked away to the kitchen but saw everyone near the door, mouthing to them saying he's doing it. "So what did you need to tell me, especially that it is so important to tell me at 1 in the morning?" Andrea laughed.
Asher chuckled, "I know, but it's something I've been hiding for a couple of months, something I want to tell you".
Andrea's expression went from content to intrigued and curious, he's hiding something, well this I hope it isn't bad like last time. "Is it anything bad? All the times you hid something didn't end well" asked Andrea cautiously. "No no, it isn't bad, quite the opposite actually" Asher rubbed the back of his neck.
Without a second thought Asher grabbed Andrea's drink and set it aside, interlocking his veiny hands with soft hands and pulled her in. He grasped her waist and brought her chin up to his face, them only inches apart.
"I've been waiting to do this for months" Asher whispered as he brought her face to his and kissed her.
Her warm lips on mine, it felt like a dream come true. Andrea was shocked by my reaction, as I could feel her eyes staring me down. I never thought I would have the guts to do this on New Year's, as everyone watched from behind and in front of me. As I took in the moment, I felt her pull away, as Andrea pulled out from his grasp and wiped her lips.
"What was that, why in the world did you kiss me" Andrea said with a shocked and angry tone. She groaned as she wiped her mouth once more and took a sip of her water, "Are you going to answer?".
Everyone looked around in shock how she reacted was not what they expected, as they saw she was filled with rage. "A-Andrea, I-I like you, since the beginning of our first summer, when you helped me through the times I needed someone most. You are kind to everyone you meet, and I felt the warmth I needed, it was you all along, how I like you more than just a friend, I wished I realized it sooner" Asher told her the truth about how he felt.
Andrea dropped her cup, spilling ice and cold water on the floor, "Asher, those words... were very sweet. I'm happy that you appreciated me through those times but... you know I don't like anyone-". "Please, give me a chance, just one, I want to show you how I can treat you like a queen, how I want to protect and care for you" he petitioned.
"Look I don't like you ok? I don't plan to give anyone a chance. I'm only 14, you're nearly 15. As I've said millions of times, I don't like you, as a friend yes, but not anything more, and I will never like someone like that. I'm a loner ok? I'm sorry" Andrea said with a low tone.
