After the nightmare everything went by smoothly, Andrea didn't suspect anything of Asher, especially since she usually went skateboarding to practice new tricks. Andrea did leave time for her friends, they laughed around playing the silliest games they could find... life for them seemed perfect. Smiles and joy, just what they all needed after the tragic effects. However Andrea would be in her room some days, her medications took over, making her doze off from conversations, and pain still led down her side.
Most days she walked it off and really did today, as she and the rest of the family had to leave for the airport in a couple of days to get back to school and classes. Andrea and Ava were both in her room, as they were sharing ever since New Year's and would spend them late at night talking.
"Ava here is your sweatshirt back, thanks for letting me borrow it" Andrea tossed onto the bed a white sweatshirt. "Anytime. Hey, did you and Asher make up?" Ava asked folding it,
"Yes we did, and we've been getting closer ever since thankfully" Andrea smiled to herself to show. "I can tell someone is happy about that... anything else about you, come on don't hide it" Ava pushed her down and laughed with her.
Andrea continued packing every last bit of clothing, separating the clean from the dirty, pants and shirts, then her shoes. "I don't like him in that way, gosh we both admit we don't and I'm happy single. I have too much pressure already" Andrea chuckled at her statement as she zipped up her bag, "Either way we leave tomorrow in the morning-".
"Why don't you like him? In that way obviously" Ava asked. "I just don't, I like him as a friend but I really have no... warmth for him, and I don't get nervous around him. I just feel like I can be myself, but there isn't any feeling in my heart that makes me like him. Why are you asking for it?" Andrea questioned, "I'm just curious".
"Is it to deal with Asher? Did he tell you anything about me?" Andrea asked frantically, shooting herself and making eye contact with Ava. "Sorry, it was just a stupid question, Asher isn't hiding anything I'm just being like Ryker. You know I think you guys would make a great couple" Ava smiled at Andrea quickly.
"I know you think we would be a good couple but I'm sorry, I thought about being a loner for a while and it's best for me. I always have been and hide my feelings, I still do, no one would want a girl like that" Andrea picked up her luggage and leaned it against the wardrobe.
Asher does... and always will Ava thought before only chuckling and nodding her head. "Ava do you have my bracelet?" they both heard Lucas yell from the other room, "I'll be right back" Ava chuckled and left the room.
An odd, specific question... maybe I am missing something Andrea shrugged it off and continued until she heard a loud rupture from her window. She opened the curtains and saw a rather aggressive falcon trying to get through, not one she had seen nor met. Andrea unlocked the hatch and let the falcon ruffle up their feathers on her bed.
"Who do you belong to?" Andrea approached slowly to only see it bite at her in a disgruntled tone, "Hey! No!".
She nearly continued until she saw a letter strapped around its leg, as it bit the rope off and flew off quickly once finished. Andrea closed her window and looked through until it was out of sight, then walked over to the feathery mess and damaged envelope.
She opened what was left of it and saw a letter, which had a few claw cuts but nothing to ruin the writing. She opened the letter and tried to read it for herself... it wasn't like anything she would ever expect, especially from such a group of people. Andrea crumbled up the letter and debated on just throwing it away, until she opened it again and read it, and read it again. Until she decided... throwing it away wasn't the best idea if she thought of going.
