A Missing Ring

"Andrea... come on snap out of it" Asher turned her around as Ryker went to his side. He kept a firm grip on Andrea despite her being able to stand straight on her own, she still didn't seem right.

    "Why are her eyes still red... and why is she staying quiet?" Ryker and Asher had so many questions but continued to focus on her.

    "Maybe her body is getting her powers under control, she was fully corrupted" Asher said and saw her blink. Her eyes continued to adjust as her body grew weak she fell to the floor, they went down with her. Asher put Andrea onto his lap and supported her back. Ryker stayed up front as they watched carefully at her eyes, as she stayed staring blankly at nothing.

    "Come on... Andrea you have to snap out of it" Asher slightly shook her shoulder but only caused her to blink. Her breathing was slow and she didn't move any part of her body, they didn't know what was going on.

    Once she blinked again and her eyes stayed her brown color, they looked at each other then back down to Andrea, she took a deep breath and looked up to the sky where the sunset was taking place.

    "Andrea! Hey it's ok it's ok, you have your ring on and everything is going to get back to normal I promise, just hold on just a bit longer" Asher said as he placed his head to hers. "Andrea, are you feeling anything? Hot? Cold? Dizzy? Anything?" Ryker asked, picking up her face slightly to look into her eyes.

    "I- I can't-" Andrea could only take raspy breaths, and with her and their minds at a loss of concentration, they couldn't simply tell her state of health.

    "You can't do what? Andrea please just stay awake" Asher shook her to make her eyes blink again and look up to both of them. "I-I can't get us b-back home" she stuttered, "T-there is n-no way I-I can".

    "We aren't worried about what you can and can't do, you just went through something we didn't want you to" Asher whispered, "Just tell us what you are feeling and we can do the rest".

    Andrea's shaking hand brought Asher down so she could whisper something in his ear. with her final breath, "You are the only one that can get us back home". And with that Andrea grabbed Asher's hand and brought some sort of power to it, it was painful as he yelled, "Andrea what are you doing!".

    Andrea kept a faint smile on her face as she let her eyes close and the power flow through her hand. It stopped and the red light vanished, Asher was breathing heavily and backed away from Andrea, leaving her resting softly on the floor.

    "Asher what the heck!" Ryker yelled as he picked Andrea onto him, "...What the heck happened?". "I don't know, but she isn't awake! It felt like some sort of power that she put in me... you don't think-" Asher paused at his own thought, teleportation. "Try it out" Ryker said as he focused and teleported behind Ryker, "It's to get us home, she gave me her power to get us home, but that means she is weak because the power is a part of her".

    Ryker put his hand to her chest, then slightly under her nose, "We have to go... she isn't breathing!". "Hold on!" Asher said, he focused on all three of them to be teleported back home.

    "Come on! We don't have any time to lose. She needs help and much more!" Asher yelled as it was still the evening. Ryker ran with Andrea in his arms, they ran into Finch who didn't intrude but ran with them.

    "Boys what happened? I thought she was going to come back just fine?" Finch asked as he followed next to them. "She was corrupted Finch! And the only way we got back is with her donating her power to me but it drained her to lose consciousness and she isn't breathing! We just have to get there and fast" Asher said as they sped off to the Nurse's office.
