"I was thinking the same way, we must've gone the correct order, if we tried going for the ruby fire first who knows how much we would've gotten done" Andrea said as she followed Asher to the end of the stairs.
They all chuckled, "Probably nowhere, we would have been looking for this past week, and we still have tomorrow". "Yea but at least it's the last day, then we can go back to Black Academia and enjoy the rest of the year in peace" they all continued walking north, the direction where they were told to go.
"Andrea what does the map say? Anyway, can you tell where we are?" Asher asked, walking beside her. "Yes actually, our footsteps are showing here and it seems like we still have a ways to go before any of us make it to the location, at least the sun still seems to be up" Andrea saw the sun was still slightly in the middle of the sky. "Andrea what are you doing once we get all 4 of the gems?" Ryker slightly nudged Andrea from the shoulder.
"Definitely putting it on and not taking it off the rest of the year, despite me not showing it I'm tired, and I can't wait for me to be able to focus again" Andrea seemed elated.
"Yes, I haven't been able to focus on this incident which helps show that my grades have gone down to low A's" Andrea pulled some of her layers back. "I'm on the verge of getting a C in potions, you really have to stop worrying" Asher said as Andrea hit her face.
"You have got to be kidding me, and I thought potions were getting easier" Andrea chuckled as they continued walking for the next couple of hours.
Within each hour or two they would give each other a small break to catch their breath, give their legs a rest, and drink the water they were able to refresh from Aaron. "Look, the sun is already setting" Ryker said as he pointed to the sun only showing halfway. The woods were a golden dark brown and the grass looked bright; golden hour. Andrea took a glance at the map to find out where exactly they were, and how much farther they would have to travel until their last destination would be near. "Let's travel a little longer, so at most tomorrow's walk is an hour long, come on" Andrea led the way.
The sun was setting much faster as they tried to make it out of the forest by the time the moon came up and the sun shined no more. They did see some land at the end of their walk but after 30 minutes the sun was gone and they had no sight of anything, "It's best to lay low now, we don't have any light to rely on" Asher said.
"You two are helping me, help me gather some twigs that are along" Andrea gave them all of them flashlights as she walked away with hers. "Why didn't you give us these earlier?" Asher asked as he turned his own, "To save battery!".
After the next 5 minutes they all came back with a mountain load of sticks, "This should be plenty, I'll start the barrier".
Asher and Ryker started the barrier as Andrea started to light her match and lit one twig on fire. She added more and more twigs until it was a big enough fire to light it all, just one more day and it'll all be over.
"Well" Ryker knocked onto the floor, "The leaves make this much more comfortable, we might actually have a decent night of rest". "Good, because I sure am tired, and who knows when we will be back in school entirely, we are going to sleep for days" Andrea and them laughed. "Andrea, we can all agree on that. Though we've been getting sleep it's just not as comfortable, I swear everyday I've been having neck pains" Asher rubbed his own neck.
"Come here" Andrea patted down in front of her. He came over as Andrea started to rub the back of his neck, "Ouch... I can feel the knot that's in your neck, you will definitely feel a relief when we get back".
"How long do you think it'll take to get back to Black Academia?" Ryker asked, sitting closer to them.
"A couple days I could only hope, maybe less. I could use my powers to teleport us, but I don't want to do it now, I hope you understand" Andrea said, looking down and to Asher's neck. "No- Gah. We understand, and sudden movement and your powers go haywire" Andrea smiled as she apologized for the discomfort.
