Throughout the next couple of months Andrea kept the secret from her friends. And still, only her and Lucas knew about it. Andrea would walk through the halls and see the trio that destroyed her ring with evil smirks and glares across their scum faces. Britnney is the evilest of them all Andrea thought every single day. Either way it was her fault she was stuck in this situation.
Despite her ring, she took the time to try and get more training in, at least once a week, not minding the late nights of working. It was all worth it she thought this will only be until I can find the gems. And she could only wish it was that easy. Andrea used most of her nights for two things; work and indication of the gems.
As she didn't tell anyone, not even Finch knew; and Andrea took it to her advantage to grab books from the library and read them in her free time. All about different gems, to hope to find a replica of the gems she didn't know the name of.
And still, Andrea had no luck, and as the months grew on, the weaker her body got, and the more powerful her powers got and fueled her red eyes.
Some days, she did feel herself on the verge of a corruption, but she kept her scream in and spent hours holding in her pain until it went away, and each time she felt exhausted and couldn't do anything afterwards. Andrea knew Asher and Ryker could tell something was up, simply by the stares. No matter the assumptions and the questions Andrea said she was fine, and truly got tired of the questions.
One day, 8:54 at night, a Friday evening, Andrea was finishing her homework until she felt a pain in her head, and even more through her body. She knew what was happening, her body... her powers were trying to corrupt her once again. It was April, 4 months since the incident and every week, once a day, it would happen.
Andrea tried to stand up and get to her bed but fell to the ground holding her head and her knees crunched up to her chest. Come on come on... stupid powers just calm down, just calm down please... Andrea whispered to herself, rocking herself back and forth.
Andrea stayed there for what she thought was forever until she realized her powers weren't going to be calming down anytime soon. Her powers only calmed down when she wasn't stressing, and with all her work stress was all in her body. Just think positive... Gosh! Just calm down! Andrea begged as her breathing quickened.
Andrea bit her tongue and tried to hold in her scream but it was no use... her powers were just becoming too strong for even the owner to handle. Andrea knew that if she didn't get help her body would turn to the side of Britnney, turning to the side of evil.
So, she did the one thing she didn't want to do, and yelled their names, "ASHER! RYKER! I NEED YOUR HELP!".
Her voice gave it away she was in pain and within seconds Asher and Ryker barged in. They saw a view they didn't want to see again, her on the floor clutching her head and rocking herself to calm down through the pain. Asher and Ryker divided onto the floor and Ryker stayed by her side and Asher in the front.
"Andrea, why are your powers acting up? Did something happen?" Asher immediately asked and held her arms down to prevent her hurting herself. She slowly picked her head up to say something but it only ended up in a scream. "Andrea please answer us, did you lose your ring again or did you forget to put it on after training?" Ryker now held her arms and Asher picked up her head. "I uhm- lost it!" Andrea accidentally yelled getting out of their grip and held her head down.
Andrea felt the fire within her fuel and her eyes fired up to their beaming red, she still couldn't admit the truth, and hoped it would die down by the time they searched.
They rushed, looked around and even made a mess of her room. They assumed it would all be worth it when they found the ring that could save her friend. Andrea kept her gold cuff under her bed for no one to find, she normally kept storage but that was an exception. "Andrea, do you have any memory of where you could've put it? We've looked basically around the entire room!" Ryker asked, and she only shook her head in a lie.
