Camping To Live

"Ok ok fine, we'll camp out. What do we need to start an overnight in the middle of nowhere?" Ryker asked Andrea. Seeing she knew the most about camping out of both of them combined. "Well" Andrea took out a pair of matches and her pocket knife and tossed them to the ground. "We have to create a fire and need something to eat off of, anything that is non poisonous".

"Well we are in the middle of nowhere, so how are we meant to find food?" Ryker asked, swinging the knife around his finger. "This path might lead to wood and a forest, the inside of the wood is edible, it might taste disgusting but at least it's something" Andrea and her black figure pointed to the pathway.

"And that is also where we might find the wood for a fire, to get our place and ourselves heated up and to last the night, if we are lucky enough" Andrea turned her back to them. "What do you mean by lucky enough?" Asher raised his eyebrows. "What have you never been in the wild, not everything goes your way, you guys knew that right?" Andrea asked.

"Yea, totally" "Remember guys this isn't a five star hotel, you're out in the wild" Andrea grabbed the matches and the knife from Ryker's hand "Hey!-" "This is mine, and before you poke someone's eye out we have to decide responsibilities".

"Someone is going to be alone, I say two people gathering the firewood while one person just scraps wood, they can just stay at the front. We just need enough wood to light a small fire, so who is doing what?" Andrea asked them both. "I can grab the wood" Ryker said taking the knife back, "While you two go inside the forest".

"Not surprised, me and Asher have always made a pretty good team, now come on let's start walking" Andrea kept the flashlight and walked away.

"Could make your move, we don't know how much time she has left" Ryker whispered in dismay and walked away, he really had to say that now. Asher rushed behind Andrea and next to Ryker as she led the way through the path.

And just as Andrea suspected they found a massive forest right through the path. It wasn't the one they traveled through before however, it seemed more peaceful and was filled with oak and spruce trees, and a pebble road just following into the deep forest. "Ryker you know what to do, come on Asher we know what we have to do" Andrea kept the flashlight and walked deeper into the forest with him.

"Do you know where we are going to find any wood?" Asher asked as he caught up with Andrea, "Deeper in the forest, or really any fallen branches will do". Andrea picked up a few thick long branches and held them herself, "Please let me take them".

Asher attempted to take them away but she dodged his hands, "I'm a girl, but not weak" Andrea continued with the branches in her head.

"Will these branches work?" Asher asked as he grabbed a bunch from a pile, "yea those will work well, come on we should grab a good bunch to make the fire more grand". Andrea placed the flashlight on the ground and saw a bunch of twigs laying around in a patch.

Andrea and Asher both walked over and grabbed armfuls of them until nearly every single branch was picked up and they each couldn't carry anymore, "Now this should definitely be enough, do you think Ryker got the wood yet?". "I bet so, unless he was playing around with the knife the entire time" Asher and her chuckled.

"Well it's best to head back" Andrea grabbed the flashlight from the ground and began to walk back, tracing over the pebbly pathway. "Do you- do you think everything is going to end alright. I- I don't want to feel the way I did when you first got hurt" Asher hoped for some words on confidence. "I think... everything will be alright, I mean it's just gems. I just think even if I do become evil just place the ring on then I'm good as new, but I hate being evil, it doesn't feel right" Andrea reassured him.
