End it.

"I don't believe it."

"Then Keep denying it."

"It's you whose in denial." He almost shouted holding my shoulders. His words hit where it hurts the most. I was taken aback. I would have walked away from him but his grip on my shoulders tightened.

"Look at me Annie..." He spoke holding my face gently in his big rough hands tipping my head up to meet his eyes. I dared to look back at him. The intensity in his eyes unsettled me.

"I love you, always have and I am not telling you this out of guilt or regret. I am telling you because it is the truth and I don't know any other way of living without you."

My heart went into frenzy. The honesty in his tone made me uneasy. Suddenly I felt the urge to run away and hide.

"You know there was once a time when I longed to hear these words from you...."
I fisted his shirt on his chest in my hands. The silk of his t shirt soft in my palm. He too held my wrist gently. His warm brown eyes melting with emotions.

"But it is too late now. It doesn't matter anymore. We have drifted too far away."
I don't want to have my heart broken again. I can't afford it this time, I won't.

He inhaled sharply. His hold tightened on my wrist.

"Why is it too late? Have you moved on to someone when we were...not together?" His face was blank of all emotions.

Oh how I wish I could.

"I don't need to explain anything to you." I stepped back but he pulled me to him again, chest against chest.

"Who is he?"
I swallowed. I have seen many mafias and criminals when they were angry. I was not at all fazed by them. The rage I am seeing on his face made even my knees weak. I saw something more than rage on his face which I couldn't recognise and I didn't care to either.

I was so caught up in his emotions that I forgot to answer him. His warm browns were now blazing with storms.

"Is he the same guy you were talking to yesterday?"

"What?who?.." And then I realised he is talking about A'Zhan. He heard us talking over the phone.
"It's none of your business." My voice came out as a whisper.

"Everything you do is my damn business!." He shouted. "So tell me Vanessa are you dating him?"

I squared my shoulders looking back at him with defiance.
"What if I am? What are you gonna do about it?"

His jaw clenched and he scanned my face. His grip on me loosened as he walked a step back from me. Keeping a safe distance. I steadied myself with the help of the table. He didn't say anything. I think what I said has made him give up on me.

"That was not funny Annie, I think you forgot how crazy I go when I get possessive."

My mind unintentionally played the hot punishing kisses and hugs, being wrapped with him all the weekend until  he is sure he has staked his claim on me.

I looked away from him. I need to distract him find something so that he won't go down that road.

"It's because you were not there when I needed you."

It was the truth. I can still remember the cold tiles, piercing rain and raging fire.

"It was you who left." He accused me gritting his jaw.

"You didn't give me much choice did you?" I snapped back. He damn well know why I left. He can't just go on accusing me of leaving when he is at fault. His hands formed into fists.

"Still you should have stayed. Waited for me."

He really does have the guts to tell me that.

"Wait for what? Huh? Wait so that you can make a fool of me again? Good idea but you know I am not going back to become a pathetic idiot for you."

He chewed his lower lip and I can see guilt all over his face. The way he has his head lowered, his hands loose at his sides and eyes down in shame.

"I know I was wrong and I regret it...so much. I realised what you mean to me when I saw you crying." He choked the words.

" I came back to apologise, to beg for your forgiveness but you were gone. You disappeared without a trace. All these years I kept looking for you in all the places I remembered but," he looked around frustrated, " but...how can you just leave without listening to my explanation?" He stood in front of me again holding my shoulders.

"You were going to say sorry?" I asked. He knew where this was going. He nodded slowly.

"Well that won't change anything. I would still leave." I scoffed.
"That would be impossible. I would have tied you up if I had to but never let you go unless you kill me."

"You are unbelievable!!" I hit his chest.
"You made me that way." He held my hand in his again.
This is going no where. We are arguing in circles without reaching a conclusion.

I stepped out of his hold.
"You want me to forgive you right?"
He nodded, "and I want another chance."

I have to end this before it gets out of hands.

"I forgive you, really so don't feel bad about it anymore. Let it go."

His lips formed a smile.

"And we have to end it. I don't want us to be involved with eachother. Whatever we had it is all over and I would like to keep it that way."

He sure was going to deny but I heard a voice in my earpiece. It was a guy from team A.

"There are four people tailing you."

I looked out through the window to find them. It was difficult to spot them but not impossible. They were indeed four and I am sure they have guns. I walked to Chanyeol and pushed him to sit into a corner away from the shooting range and stood in front of him.

He looked up at me perplexed. I signalled him to stay silent. He understood and nodded.

"Catch them alive. You have five minutes." I ordered.
"Roger." Came the response from them.
The defence team is up.
"Team B Double the security. Change the cars. We will go through parking lot."

In situations like these when civilians are involved we try to avoid acting reckless. There would already be a car waiting for us in parking lot. We can escape safely without being seen.

Chanyeol was listening to every word I said. He stood up but I pushed him back to sit. He shook his head.

"We need to go." The disappointment on his face can't be unseen.
"Lead the way." He tossed shoving his hand through his hair. Clearly frustrated.

I opened the door and we started to walk towards the exit to parking lot. The other agents with me also got on our side and we made it safely to the lot. Thankfully there was no one in the area. I quickly opened the door and urged chanyeol to sit in. He obliged but pulled me in with him as well.

Sharp five minutes later I heard the answer I was hoping for.

"Agent Cross, we have them."

"Good. Take them to headquarters. I'll be there shortly."

"Did they catch them?" He asked me.
"Yes."
"Why do you want them alive?" He inquired curious. His deep voice even more deeper because of the serious situation.

"I want to interrogate them." He gave me the eyes that said 'yeah I don't believe you.'
