"It's not true."
My voice came out as a whisper.
"Then what is? What kind of love you needed that I was unable to give you?"

Her words piercing a hole in my heart. I wished that she speak but when she did I was not ready for it.

It was not only her who is running away.

"You were enough it was me who was unworthy." I confessed. Hoping she understands. Hoping she forgives me and we can make it work.

" That's not a good enough excuse, is it?" She scoffed.
"I am tired of all your lies Chanyeol and I don't see any point in going back to the same argument again and again."

"You don't trust me." I announced to myself more than to her. Trust is a dangerous game and I have lost it. Nothing hurt me more than this realisation. There was once a time when I had her blind trust. It was me whose to blame. I am the culprit here. So there is no way I can argue with her on that. I knew I have lost her trust when she looked at me with those broken eyes five years ago. At that time had I known I will never see her again I would hold her tight and never let her go.

"Yes. You have lost my trust." She agreed.

"And I am going to wait however long it takes to get it back."

She looked away and fell silent. She always says nothing when she wants to say everything. But her silence also means that she is not willing to talk about it anymore. Then unexpectedly she spoke.

"Don't bother, I might not be here for that long."

What???!!!!
Indeed she will leave again when the job is over.

"I understand that you don't think it has any point in discussing the past and you have Liu Zhan now but I really don't want to lose you again, I can't Annie." She didn't speak. So I continued.

"If you have really moved on, I-I think it-----fair," I choked the words out, " I won't bother you again since you have someone else now and if you don't want me to, but can you just not leave? Don't disappear again. I don't think I can survive it this time." Saying all this was a torture for me. Accepting that she has moved on is like giving up all wish to live but I have no choice. Between not seeing her forever and letting her go to someone else the latter takes precedence. At least I won't have to imagine her anymore, she will be around.

I was still in my misery when she asked.
"What?"
Did she not listen what I said or does she want to hurt me more by repeating the words. I held her gaze and asked again.

"I want you to stay." I repeated.
She shook her head,
"Before that..."
I racked my brain to remember.
"That you have moved on?"
She looked at me confused a question in her eyes. Damn she wants me to say it out loud. Sometimes she is the most intelligent girl and sometimes she is cruelly naive.Let's see just how much can I bear before breaking.

"You are dating Liu Zhan, aren't you?" I spoke.
Her face morphed from confusion to horror.
"What??!! No! We are not!!" She almost shouted looking incredulous.

"For real? You are not?" I asked again just to be sure. Just to not get my hopes up only to be let down.

"We are not dating! It's ridiculous to think that. How can---" but then she stopped herself from saying anymore.
"It's none of your business."

I can't describe the feeling I have now. If I was a prisoner this is the moment of my freedom. I have found my wings again. I couldn't contain the happiness inside me I hugged her tightly.

"Umph....?"

I still have a chance.

I buried my face in her neck. She was taken by surprise so she didn't react quickly. The painkillers are really strong. In a second I felt her inhale into my chest like she used to do. I froze in my place wondering I may have imagined it. I could have confirmed it had it not been for Liu Zhan.

He banged the door open loudly. Annie was still engulfed by me. Her shirt unbuttoned and hair a mess, a pink blush on her pale skin, she looks really alluring. I thought he would start shouting but he didn't. He was very calm and composed. The work mode.

"We are getting late." He informed me. I nodded and let go of Annie. She was also shocked at our actions. It was like she just woke up. They both shared a look. I stood up and walked towards him.

"Let's go."

Soon we were heading towards the studio. Annie is not accompanying us since she is injured but I guess it was Liu Zhan who convinced her to stay. Soon we arrived at the location, Matthew pulled in the car in parking space.
Liu Zhan listened into his earpiece and when he got confirmation he signalled for us to get off the car.

"I will be your bodyguard and you will call me Gu Wei if anyone asks." He informed walking to the entrance. I nodded.

Someone from the staff welcomed me and took us to the waiting room. When we were alone I asked him.
"Why does Annie refuses anasthasia?"
He just turned his head towards me. His appearance strict and professional. He didn't seem like the same person I saw yesterday.

"That is a personal question." He replied.
"It was personal until you implied that I was the reason for it." I was not going to let it go so easily.
"Why don't you ask her directly?" He asked me back irritated.

"We both know she won't tell me." I announced. He too can't argue on this.

He turned his back to me again before saying,
"Telling you won't change anything."

"It will. If I know I won't make same mistakes again."
There I said it out loud. I hated that it is him I am saying all these things to but I don't have a choice he is the only one who knows her the best. And it hurt me.

He stared at me from his position across the table. Sighing he spoke.
"She hates sleeping, her mind has the scary capability of being dark and demented."

"She is afraid of her dreams?"

"Nope. She has made the nightmares her home."

His words pierced my soul. Looking at him I can feel a hatred as hard as it was pure. It was directed at me. For the first time since I met him I couldn't say that I don't care. His hatred must have a reason because you simply can't hate someone like that. It was so clear that if he had a choice he would strangle me to death right now.

Strangely I won't mind.

My heart broke thinking about her.
Just how much damaged she is. Just how cruciating the reality is to her that she finds refuge in her nightmares. The girl who was bringer of light is now thriving in dark.

The script reading finished in four hours. All the time Liu Zhan stayed on guard all alert and ready for action.Though I didn't pay attention to anything other than my reading, I had alot in my mind already.

Everyone gathered in the hall to celebrate the start of new drama. I felt Liu Zhan move closer to me as the crowd increased.

"Chanyeol." I heard someone call my name. It was a girl and I hate that I recognise that annoying voice. She is my co actor for the drama. I believe my face must have given away my disgusting feelings that Liu Zhan came to stand by my side.

I turned begrudgingly acknowledging her existence.
"Hello miss Kim." Her lips curled up into that flirty smile. Her eyes were stuck on Liu Zhan obviously giving him the eyes. She looked at me when I replied to her.

"Come on chanyeol don't be a stranger, you can call me Lily." She put her hand on my chest suggestively. It felt like a snake slithering on my body. I caught her wrist and moved it away from me. Stepping back I maintained the distance. She tried to walk towards me but Liu Zhan stepped in front of me blocking her.

" Sorry miss, Mr. Park doesn't like to be touched."

She put on an offended expression and was raged instantly. Then an evil smile appeared on her face. She was about to say something more but was cut off. The reason were the fire alarms which started blaring up. Loudly.

"FIRE!!!!"
