I sprang up and went after the voice. When I arrived at the scene I found him standing in the middle of the hall, his fists clenched, jaws gritting and eyes blazing fire. I have never seen him this angry before.

Standing oppositely to him is Vanessa. Her nerves were also ticking but as usual she had somehow managed to keep her composure. I really admire her for this considering the situation if it was someone else Vanessa might have broken that very jaw he is gritting right now.

She closed her eyes and opened them again. An action she does to calm herself before speaking.
"You can't just barge in here and start shouting at me."

"I am not shouting. I am reminding you what you promised." He retorted.

"And what is that?" She tilted her head.

"You promised to keep us all safe."

"Do you see anyone of you dead?"
That was bold.
His nostrils flared.

"Does your keeping safe means only staying alive?" He pointed his finger at her, "you people whatever you are not doing your job well."

Things are getting too heated. If it was someone else I would take his side but since he is arguing with Vanessa there is no doubt that I will stand by her. I had to meddle in.

"What are you doing here hyung?" I asked him to divert his attention.
He spinned his head in my direction and it was like he saw me for the first time. He stopped talking and walked to me.

"What are you doing standing here? Go back to your room and rest." He held my hand and is now guiding me to my room.

"I....What?!!"

I was surprised and confused. I stopped walking and he halted too.

"Will you tell me what is the meaning of all this?" I asked him again. It's not that I don't want him here but it was a surprise to see him so mad.

"I heard that you got injured." He stated.
"Who told you?" I replied automatically. And then I realised my mistake. He would call us everyday to check if we are fine. When he called me yesterday I didn't tell him anything about my injury. Now that he has found out he must have been worried and shocked.

"You lied to me" He demanded from me. I looked down at my toe.

"I didn't want you to worry." I told him in a small voice feeling tiny as well. He folded his arms in front of him and looks at me sternly.

"How can I not worry when you keep such things from me? One minute I hear Jongon is attacked and the second I find out you are injured." I instantly felt guilty.

"You know what, it's not your fault. It would never happen if they had taken a good care of you." He spat. I looked back up at him.

"No hyung. It's not her fault." I didn't want anyone to blame her and besides it is the truth.

"What do you mean?" He asked confused. I could tell him but we had spectators.

"Let's talk in my room." I advised him. Gratefully he didn't question it and followed me.

I closed the door behind me and offered him a chair. Instead he made me sit on it. Knowing that refusing him is useless I obeyed. Once on a chair he touched my shoulder gingerly examining all the wounds. I then realised that I had came out without a shirt. He had a front row view of my injuries. Telling that it doesn't hurt won't work. Thankfully I still had bandages on...some of it.

"Does it hurt alot?" He asked all concerned. His mother bear mode on. I again felt bad for having him go through this.

"It's not that bad. The painkillers are working well and Vanessa keeps checking up on me every hour."

He sat besides me on another chair.
"Tell me everything from beginning." He ordered. You must not refuse kim junmyeon when he is in serious mood so I told him everything.

"Chanyeol that was reckless. You should have a little care for your life." He scolded me.

"At that time all I could think about was her. "

He sighed.

" I understand." He said.

"But?" I can sense that incomplete sentence.

"I don't know how to tell you this but I have this." He seemed a bit uncomfortable.

"Go ahead hyung. You know you can tell me anything." I encouraged him. He seems a bit uncertain and then a took a deep breath before speaking.

"Chanyeol when Vanessa left I really wanted her to come back to you, I even helped you look for her." He put his hand on my shoulder.

"Right." I replied neutrally.

"You know I want you to be happy."

"Yes." I don't know where he is going with it.

"I think you should stop." He advised me looking at me nervous.

Stop what? Loving her? Impossible. Loving her comes as naturally to me as breathing. I can't stop it, I don't want to stop.

"It's impossible."
He nodded in understanding. He didn't even need ant further explaining from me. He knew I won't change.

"I knew you would say this." The sadness in his voice in evident.

"What did she say after you saved her?" He asked anxious.
I breathed in heavily.
"She thinks I did it because I felt guilty."
"Oh." He straightened."Did you not talk to her? Explain yourself?"

"I tried but she doesn't want to talk about it. She wants to forget everything as if it never happened." I elaborated.

"That's cruel. She could at least hear your side of the story. How can she be so inhuman hurting you like this, doesn't she know you love her.." he rambled on getting restless smacking his hand on armrest. He thinks it his responsibility to help us when we are in bad situations but this is out of his control. It is making him feel useless.

"She is not cruel hyung, her hatred in reasonable." I looked down at my toe again.

"Chanyeol don't let yourself down like that."
But I was not listening to him. What he said earlier attracted my attention.

"She doesn't know." I mumbled.
"What?" He asked confused.
"She doesn't know I love her." I declared.

She has no idea about my feelings.

"Correct. After what happened she must think that you don't." He added as realisation dawned on him too.

I stood up pushing my hands through my hair. She...how could she not know?

Looking up at me he asked.
"What are you going to do now?"
I smiled at him.

"I am going to show her."
