Disappointment was all over her face.
"You shouldn't have now he will worry unnecessarily."
"I had to. Bye." With that he left.

Who the hell is Liu Zhan?

I stood up and filled a glass with water. Her eyes followed my each move.
"Here." I held the medicine near her mouth. She bit her lower lip and then opened her mouth. I put the med on her tongue and held the glass near her mouth. She swallowed it down in few gulps.

I wiped her mouth with the sleeve of my shirt and turned to put the glass back on table.

She pulled on the hem of my shirt. The telltale action brought back memories.
I got back to sit besides her on the bed.
"Thank you for helping me." She winced in pain.

"Anasthasia was a good idea." I commented.
"I agree." She admitted.
"Then why did you not take it." I was getting frustrated now. Watching her in pain was very difficult for me. She lowered her eyes.
"I had my own reasons."
What could possibly be the reason that you chose us to suffer?

I know she won't tell me that so I didn't ask her that. Her apprehensive look stopped me from touching that matter more. Maybe she will tell me one day when she is ready.

"Will you tell me how did you get injured?"

Now that she is doing a bit better I can ask her. Anger flashed on her face. I picked a soda can to quench my thirst.

"I can't tell you much but you can know that I was taken by surprise. I didn't know he was hiding until he stabbed me."

The soda can in my hand crushed.

If I find that man I will choke him to death.
"Chanyeol!!" She chided me. I tossed the can in the bin and pulled the covers over her.

"You still need to manage your anger. You haven't changed a bit."

I wiped her forehead.

"Maybe I have it's just that you didn't notice." I said in a low voice.

There was a long silence. Either of us didn't say a thing only our eyes met searching for the person who has been lost.

"You should sleep." I told her getting up to turn off the light.

"I am not sleepy. Maybe you should go sleep it's late."
Will she ever agree to anything easily.

"I can see you need to sleep from a mile."
She is being ridiculous now. The bags under her eyes are a clear proof she needs sleep.

She gave me the pleading look. I felt my heart flip.
"What do you want to do then?" I sighed giving up.

"I don't know." Her voice groggy. I pulled out my phone from my pocket and opened a book.

Sitting besides her I started reading vonpone.

She didn't refuse. Soon her eyes started to get heavy but she is doing everything in her power to stay awake. Always so stubborn. I can't help smiling fondly at her.

I put my hand on her eyes covering then urging her to sleep.

Suddenly the door opened with a bang. The silence of the room was disrupted.

"Vanessa!!!" A man's voice roared the name.
" Shit." She cursed under her breath.

The lights were still on so I could see the man very clearly. He has a lean body with a muscular build. A fair complexion and shiny inky black hair. A pair of sharp black eyes which gave the feeling that nothing could pass through them unnoticed. And ofcourse he had a custom made black suit on him.

Plus he had an expression mix of worry and anger.

He walked in with fast steps. Standing beside the bed.
"Don't pretend to sleep I know you are awake."

He completely ignored my existence.
Annie slowly opened her eyes. A sheepish smile appearing on her face.
"Hi "

I suddenly felt a weird taste in my mouth.

"Don't hi me!!! How could you be so reckless?" He asked frustrated.
"I was not!!! I just went to check."
"I told you not to go alone." He pointed a finger at her,"But will you ever listen to me?"
He was obviously angry and I was getting angry at him too.
His eyes fell on the bin. The blood stained cottons filled it to brim.

"Are you planning to give me heart attacks Vanessa?" The anger is slowly turning into concern.

"It's just blood not nuclear waste, chill out." She also tossed back at him.
Sighing he sat on bed beside her.

"Do you know how worried I was when Charles told me you were stabbed?"

"Sorry about that. Won't happen again." She held his hand in comforting gesture. The pungent taste in my mouth now became unbearable. I suddenly wanted to break that hand.

"Only if that were true." He sighed.

He lifted the covers off her and was about to lift hem of her shirt when I held his wrist.

"What are you doing?"

"What are you doing?"

We both asked eachother in unison. He confused and me angered.

It was like he saw me for the first time. His eyes widened for a second and then glinted in recognition.

"Let go." He said with a forced smile.
"I will if you keep your hands to yourself." I also smiled back at him.
"I want to see her injury." He reasoned.
"It's bandaged perfectly. You won't get to see anything unless you rip off the bandages." I reasoned back.

We both stared at eachother, none of us backing down. My grip on his wrist tightened but he didn't even flinch. After a while he chuckled.

"I wouldn't want that." He pulled his hand back.
Annie was looking from me to him and vise versa. She was more confused than both of us. When we adjusted ourselves back she sighed in relief.

"I believe you are Vanessa's post." He spoke looking at me.
Post? I think it means the one being guarded.

"Yes I am." I acknowledge without giving much away.
"By the way I am Liu Zhan." He offered his hand.

So he is Liu Zhan.

"I am Park Chanyeol." I accepted it.
"I know, heard a lot about you." I can hear the hidden meaning behind it.

"Strange I didn't hear anything about you." I said carelessly.

"It's expected, we don't disclose our personal lives to outsiders." He said with a smile looking at Annie.
"Right Vanessa?" He added.

Annie cleared her throat. We both looked away from eachother and at her.

"Mr. Park you should sleep now, I'll look after her from here." He suggested.

"You don't need to I am doing it already." I am not listening to him.

"You have your drama shoot tomorrow early in the morning." He pointed.
I was about to object but Annie intervened.
"He is right you need rest for tomorrow. I'll be fine now that he is here."

Jealousy rose it's ugly head inside me. I really wanted to punch something very bad but decided against it. She doesn't need me now. Feeling heavy hearted I turned to leave.

"Mr. Park..?" She called from behind me. I looked at her over my shoulder.
"Hmmm?"
"Thank you." She said with a smile but I found it hard to smile back. I just nodded and left.

Before closing the door I saw him hold her hand.
