I couldn't hide the shock.
A mole!
Someone has been leaking information about me to the doom. No wonder there has been so many attacks on me in this short period of time.
"What should we do now?" He asked really not knowing what to do next.
"We have to find him before things get out of hands." Liu Zhan answered tightly. I can understand their reactions. Fighting against these guys is not as bad as having a mole. It means you are always one step behind your enemies plus you can't trust anyone anymore. This will shrink the help you get from others which is a major drawback.
Annie paced the room. A finger tapping her lip, a habit she has when she is thinking. While Liu Zhan leaned against the wall crossing his arms. I can see the bandages peeking out from his sleeve.
"How are your injuries?" I asked him feeling bad about his injuries.
He moved the hand in front of his face showing that he is better.
"It's nothing.""Thank you for protecting me." I spoke despite myself. It's true I am not very much fond of him and neither is he of mine but he still risked his life without a second thought to save mine. All I can do in return for that is just to offer a thanks.
A half smile appeared on his lips.
"Trust me Chanyeol if things were other way around I would have loved to throw you in the fire pit myself."I didn't expect anything else.
"Are you sure he is not the mole here?" I asked Annie turning to her. She pursed her lips. Shaking her head she rubbed her forehead as If she is dealing with two rebellious children.
"I have a plan." Looking at me she continued, "Don't tell anyone about this conversation." I nodded. With that they left. I was back to being alone.
Since I have nothing to do I decided it was time for a shower. When I was done with it I heard another knock on my door. I shouldn't even bother to close it at this point.
Wrapping a towel around my waist I opened it revealing Annie. Her hand frozen midair, her gaze travelled from my head to waist and back again. A cute blush ran up her cheeks.
"Enjoying the view?" I asked smiling.
She unexpectedly didn't look away instead she touched my shoulder gingerly leaving fire in its wake.
"Does it still hurt?" She inquired in a low voice.
I held her hand.
"Not anymore." I answered. Her hand still in mine. She tried to free it but I refused to let go.
"How long are you going to pretend I don't exist?" I asked her.She bit her lips again. Something she always does when uneasy something that always made my heart skip a beat.
"I am not pretending. It's just that we both exist in different worlds. That's it." I was about to object but she continued.
"No. I don't want to talk about it anymore please." Her voice had a hint of panic in it. I couldn't go on further.
Sighing I let go of her hands. She shoved an envelope towards me.
"This...?"
"You have an event tomorrow. Be careful not to mention it to anyone." She explained.
The next day I was escorted to the event hall. There were five extra cars for my security. The scene was hectic as usual. Roads and entrance was packed with reporters and fans.
I kept on the regular business mode on when the event started. But my eyes kept searching for Annie. I haven't seen her after last night. She was not in the car with me either. Liu Zhan was also missing. Asking other agents won't help they won't even bat an eyelash if I enquire. So I just waited.
