Nightmare

I closed the door and was about to take a walk back to my room when I heard a familiar voice.
"Chanyeol."
My head snapped up in the direction and indeed that familiar voice belonged to a familiar man.
"Lay Hyung!!!"
I couldn't contain my happiness I ran to him and hugged him. He returned the hug patting my back.

"It's really you..." I scanned his face just to be sure,...."How?" I was surprised.
"You see Mr. Liu said that we had to leave urgently for korea and here I am." He smiled widely.

Knowing that he also needs to be guarded made me sad. I thought it was only for us but it wasn't. I guess everyone in exo has to suffer this kind of thing.

"I am glad you are here...and that you are safe." I really am.

"All the credit goes to Mr. Liu, if it was not for him I wouldn't be here alive."

A memory passed his mind that made him shook.  There was something different about him now. He didn't have that carefree persona anymore. The eyes which had life in them were now empty and dead. They say eyes are windows to one's soul and the one I am looking at seems beyond tortured. As if they have gone through all the agony in the world and what they are now is the remains of their real self they barely managed to save.

I have seen same eyes before I just can't remember where.

I can only imagine the things that he went through to take away that innocence he had in his s eyes. My heart broke for him.

He is very thankful to him I can see that. And some part of me feels the same way for protecting lay Hyung but I will not accept it.Never.

"Yeah." Was all I said.
" So how is everything going with you?" He asked casually.

I don't want him to know about Annie. It will only worry him.

"Everything is good."

We both sat down and talked alot reminiscing of past and planning the future.

Soon it was time to sleep so I offered him another room and went back my room to sleep.

Sleep never came to me. I spent all night thinking. Annie getting stabbed and Liu Zhan coming here doesn't seem like a good thing. Besides Lay hyung really had a terrible encounter with those doom guys. He was put at point blank and saw saw people drop dead in front of him. Thankfully he did not describe all the gory details but I can see the agony on his face clearly.

That brought me back to Annie. She also changed alot. Had she also been through things like Lay Hyung to end up like this? Or maybe worse?

I was out of bed before the alarm.

When I was ready to leave I came out of the room. Before leaving I wanted to check up on Annie. Make sure she is okay.

When I opened her room I found her sleeping on her side. Her hair spread on the pillow. Cheeks a light shade of pink and her lips parted a little. Her chest rising and falling with the rhythm of her soft breaths. I caressed her soft dark hair and tucked a strand of hair which was on her face.

I missed watching her sleep. Back then also she had the most adorable face when she slept so peacefully. I would always watch her and all my worries will go away. I was the first thing she would see when she opens her eyes. Her lazy smile after catching me staring at her and the way she will call my name in a husky voice.

But it was a long time ago all these became a memory. Now things have gotten complicated.

I have never seen her sleep so peacefully since she returned. She was always on alert and ready. But today she doesn't have her guard up.
