Damian and Raven finished their tea and headed out of the café. One benefit of where they lived was the fact that they were close to each other, or they were.
After hearing that Raven would be kicked out of her apartment, Damian was overwhelmed with guilt. He desperately wanted to find Raven a place to stay even if she wanted to do it all independently. Then realisation hit him, maybe she doesn't want to do it independently. Maybe she wants somewhere... with him. They had just confessed they are in love with one another and kissed and they were holding hands whilst walking. It wasn't a decision they made, it was instinct. Would Raven really want to stay somewhere with him, who knows. It was always worth a chance.
"Raven?"
"Hmm" she glanced up at him as he remained looking down. She thought something was wrong so she tightened her grip on his hands.
"Do you... maybe want to live together?" He couldn't help the blush that came onto his face as his face turned warm.
Raven scoffed and rolled her eyes. "Damian I told you I don't want to live in the manor."
"Not in the manor."
Raven's eyes widened as her eyebrows knitted together. Was he asking her to live somewhere on their own together. Damian had all his siblings and the rest of his family there and this was very sudden.
"I know it's early. Very early in the relationship but..."
"Oh so we're in a relationship now? I don't remember anyone asking me." She said in a playful tone.
Damian looked up and slightly scowled. "I was getting to that. You know what... Raven. Will you be my girlfriend?" Raven simply stopped walking and gave him a long kiss gentle kiss before embracing him and warm hug.
"Yes. I gladly accept. As for the other question: where would we live?" Damian smirked and held onto her waist and placed a peck on her lips. Raven raised an eyebrow at him. Where would they live, it's not like he had an apartment away from the manor or anything.
"I have an apartment away from the manor. It was paid for with my own money and it was really just a place to be when Father and I fought." Raven gave a surprised and sympathetic look. She knows his relationship isn't great with his father. Bruce Wayne was hardly the ideal father for anyone and even she knew that. He didn't seem to understand Damian, he tried to change him, tried to make him into another Bruce Wayne.
"Damian I'd love to live with you. What if this turns south tho."
"What do you mean?" Damian raised an eyebrow.
"What if you decide you don't want to live with me? Or even... be with me? I'm not someone who people would even think about being with. Look at me, you can see why." Raven had always been unusually pale. It was not something that ever went away as well. She couldn't get a tan and she had pure amethyst eyes. Damian was the only one to think that these made her even more beautiful than anyone else.
"I can't see why actually." Raven looked up again. Surprise hit her once more. "Raven I think you look beautiful, I know you look beautiful. You're the most beautiful person I've ever seen. You know I would never change my mind about being with you. I want to live with you and be with you more than anything I ever have before." Raven looked like she was about to cry. In fact she did. She cried tears of joy. She was so happy that someone could accept her for who she was and look past her appearance, which she was not keen on, and fall in love with her.
"Damian. I-I don't know what to say... thank you... Ok if you're sure you want to live with me and be with me, I happily accept." Damian smiled widely at her. She had never seen him smile that much in her life. She couldn't help the smile that grew on her face from emerging as she leaned into his arms.
The two walked to the apartment and deposited their things there. It was a spacious place. Was not quite Wayne level. Then again Damian tried to be more minimalist than his father.
Raven loved the apartment. It somehow appealed to her every preference when it came to a place to live. Then again, the two had known each other for two years.
Damian insisted on ordering a pizza and watching tv. This was always a rare treat for Raven that she got when she went to the manor with Damian.
Raven found herself to be incredibly happy with Damian and living in a place that she could call home. She soon realised that this was something she always wanted but never expressed that want. She felt comforted and happy by the fact that Damian felt the same way. They always did understand each other and she felt that they were always bound to end up together.
The two decided that keeping their relationship a secret when they returned to school was ideal. Damian was still a celebrity as the son of Bruce Wayne and Raven felt there was no way the school would accept her as the girlfriend of Damian Wayne, despite how close the two have always been.
The only thing they were totally worried about was Damian's family. The two were 16, nearly 17 and that meant they were still due for 'The Talk'. Despite that, Raven was worried that she wouldn't be accepted among the Wayne family. Selina Kyle was the only one who was not adopted Bruce Wayne, she was married to him. This was still worrying for Raven because even if Selina came from poverty, she still managed to stay on her feet. She stole but Raven could never steal anything. Would Damian's family really accept her as Damian's girlfriend? His friend was easy for them but girlfriend was another level. Thanks to Damian's reassurance however Raven was willing for them to visit the manor to introduce herself as his girlfriend.
Just thought I'd say that I do not have a fully planned out plot for this. It is me going along and making it up as I do so. Basic premise is that Raven and Damian are normal people but Batman still exists and Damian still knows how to fight despite not being Robin. Raven has no powers 😏. Damian isn't Robin. They are normal people and a lot of it will probably resolve around Raven's family. Whatever happens I hope you enjoy.
