"Damian Wayne!"
Damian had heard that before. His full name. Used only by Raven. She was back to her normal self after a week of just relaxing after what happened and having her court case. This was great for her and she felt she had a real victory in her life.
Damian was happy for her and did whatever he could to help her. But that sound, his full name being shouted across the apartment... It usually meant one thing... Damian was in trouble.
What had he done this time? He put the dirty clothes away, he put the heating on when she was cold. What could it be?
He hoped so badly he remembered to put a condom on the last time they had sex. She can't be pregnant, he wasn't ready for that. No she wouldn't shout his full name for that. What the hell did he do wrong?
He slowly creaked the bedroom door open. He saw Raven there with her arms folded, a look of anger on her face and a stare that could kill a man.
"Yes, Habibti?" Damian would never admit that he found her to be the only person he was afraid of.
"Don't you 'Habibti' me!" Raven sounded like she could drop the building on them. Damian even felt a chill down his spine.
"Ok. What is it that might be wrong?" Damian asked. He couldn't help the formal talk. It happened when he was scared of her.
"Don't act like you don't know!"
"What? I honestly don't know."
"Damian!"
"I swear, Beloved, I don't know."
"I can't believe you."
"Raven?"
"As if you'd forget."
"Please tell me what I forgot!" Damian was honestly perplexed. He couldn't for the life of him remember what he forgot.
"You really don't know?" Raven actually began to look sad now. Damian felt like he was going to hell, he was so guilty.
"Damian... where's my kiss?" Raven asked pleadingly.
"What? Wait..." He knows. He knows what she's trying to do. She thinks he's forgotten their anniversary. She's trying to use the confusion from last year's extended break from school to make it seem like he forgot.
"You mean your anniversary kiss?" Damian asked. He felt a lot more confident now. He had something up his sleeve for this. Raven had become a bit more predictable since they started dating.
"Oh so you do remember? I thought you would've forgotten." Raven was pulling on his heartstrings now. God he felt guilty for letting her think that but, at the same time he knew it was her plan.
"If you think I'd forget that then maybe you need to remember what kind of person I am when it comes to memory." Damian had all this in his control now and she didn't even know it.
"Maybe you don't deserve a kiss. I should probably just return that gift I got you." Damian teased.
"Wait what?" Raven had all her attention on that now. Her plan had gone out the window. He had her.
"Maybe next time, Beloved."
"No! No! Wait I'm sorry, I'm sorry." Raven was pleading now and Damian loved it when she was desperate.
"Hmm... we'll I suppose it would be quite cruel and I guess you do deserve it." Damian held his hand out to present his girlfriend with a small mouse toy. He knows he's being mean but she deserves it.
"AAAAHHHH!! What the fuck, Damian?!" Raven hated rodents and this was easily horrible for her.
"Hahaha!! Your face!" Damian was cracking up whilst Raven was hiding behind the bed. She peeked out with an angry face that could murder.
"Not funny! That's it! If you do that again I'll never kiss you again." Raven was fuming and Damian couldn't help but smile.
"I'm sorry. That reminds me." Raven looked at him puzzled until he pressed his lips against hers in a tender kiss. She couldn't help but lean in even if he had made her mad.
"Here's your true gift." This time his hand held a small box with a ring in it. "It's to us always being together. When we're old enough and out of school, I want to marry you, Raven." He had a bright blush on his face.
Raven was wide eyed and held her own blush. She took the box from his hand and opened it to see a silver ring with one amethyst diamond in the middle.
"Yes..." Raven whispered.
"What?" Damian honestly couldn't hear her.
"Yes. When we're out of school, I wanna marry you too! I'll wear this for as long as I wait!" Raven shouts in joy.
"Raven..."
"Kiss me again or I'll kiss you!"
"I'm fine either way." Damian said with a smirk.
They went in at the same time and met in a kiss that was full of love and full of passion.
"I love you, Damian Wayne."
"I love you too, Raven."
"Are we like, engaged then?"
"I suppose it's long term engagement."
"I got you a watch." Raven said with a laugh.
Damian laughed himself"I know I'll love it. How did you afford that?" Raven came from poverty and all of a sudden she could afford Damian a watch?
"Um... I may have had help. Dick gave me the money even tho I told him not to." Raven said with her eyes down in shame.
"I don't care. It's from you and that's what matters. Although I'll be sure to thank Grayson as well. Even if he's annoying." Damian said. Raven laughed and placed herself gently in his arms.
Of course they had to celebrate properly and ended up spending a lot of the day in bed... naked.
"Happy anniversary, Dami."
"Happy anniversary, Raven."
They settled against each other with their arms wrapped around one another.
They were still somewhat worried about Bruce's invite, which they would be going to in 3 days. But they enjoyed the fact that they had time to relax. Before the mighty Bruce Wayne imposed his thoughts.
