My Only Love

Normality

On a walk, both Damian and Raven tried to keep their minds off Akai Shi. They decided to walk Titus and return to a bit of normality. Damian had actually taken his mind off of the whole situation, much to Raven's surprise. She was also thinking less about it and was really enjoying what they were doing.

It was nice. Raven guessed that it would always be like this once they married. She hoped so. It was so peaceful. The fact that they could just be free with each other was a thought Raven was absolutely in love with. She couldn't imagine anything better than a quiet life with Damian. She though that was what they were headed for before the killer samurai delay.

Damian proposed the wedding should be after they dealt with Akai Shi. Raven was fine with this as it would take a while to plan it all in the first place and she had no idea what she was doing with planning.

Damian was headed to Wayne Manor the next day to tell his family of the news and Raven was just too nervous to think about that. She wasn't going with him this time per his insistence. He suggested she stayed at home and try to relax. It wasn't a terrible idea and Raven definitely wanted to avoid any judgemental eyes on her from the Wayne family.

Damian pulled Raven out of her thoughts with a squeeze of her hand, not a hard one at all. She faced him and saw that he had a contempt smile on his face. He had clearly been thinking something similar, if not the same, as her. Raven replied with the same smile and gave him a quick kiss on the lips. They smiled during it and could feel the happiness from each other.

"What's going on inside that pretty mind of yours?" Damian humorously asked. Raven just smiled wider and leaned her head on his shoulder.

"Just stuff. About the future I guess. About us." Raven calmly replied.

"Raven, this is sounding like a breakup you know." Damian plainly said.

"Yeah I wouldn't have the strength to do that even if I wanted to." Raven laughed out. Damian also laughed and placed his hand from her hand around her waist.

"I hope everyday can be like this. Quiet, peaceful, happy." Raven confessed. Damian looked at her and his smile widened.

"They will be soon. Me and you, living like this for the rest of our lives. You demanding KFC or something as well."

"Sounds perfect." Raven humorously but sincerely said.

Damian noticed how serious they seemed to get in their relationship since it started. It was unsurprising to him but, he wasn't exactly used to it. They seemed to act more mature and they valued each other before anything else. Honestly, if his grandfather could see him now, he would be half dead on the floor.

"I can't wait to get married." He heard Raven say. He pushed those thoughts away and focused on her. He regained his smile and pulled her closer to present a kiss on her cheek.

"Me either... But..." Damian went off. He couldn't stop the worst thoughts from coming into his head. What if Akai Shi killed him, worse yet killed her? What if he ends up hurting or killing someone else?

"Get those thoughts out of your head." Raven seriously said, cupping his cheeks as they stopped walking. She had often been able to tell what Damian was thinking. He apparently had different faces for his emotions.

"None of that's gonna happen. I promise. I don't want them to happen and I believe they won't happen, Dami." Raven explained. He moved to kiss her as she did the same in synchronisation. As their lips met, they began to feel like they could get past this Akai Shi situation. They had each other and that was enough. Even better, they had family they could call upon. Better if they don't get involved though; they've probably never been in a fight before. 😉

"Sorry, I can't help it. You're right. I'm sorry... I love you." Damian said. He wanted to believe what she said but he couldn't stop that feeling from emerging. He suppressed it and carried on with Raven.

"It's ok. I understand. I get the same sometimes... I love you too. You make me want to have a better feeling." Raven confessed.

"I feel the same, Beloved. I really do." Damian said lovingly.
