Real quick I just wanna say sorry for how long it has taken me to update this. A lot of stuff has been going on and tbh I've been getting myself sorted. I was in the bin for a while with my mental state and I've finally come out of it and I'm stupidly happy now. Anyway you want the next chapter so here it is. Enjoy 😊
"Please!" Raven begged. She had been putting a whole fuss over a KFC for the longest time after school.
"I told you it's unhealthy and the fries are horrible. We'll get something else." Said Damian. He was so confused as to why Raven had all of a sudden started craving KFC.
"Please, Dami..." Raven looked up at him from her sulk and raised their intertwined hands to his face. "If you love me you'll do it." Said Raven sadly, with a hint of sinister nature.
"Uuuugggghhhh. Fine, because I love you, we can get a KFC." Said Damian who had dragged his hand down his face. He never gives up in an argument and he lost to his girlfriend after 5 minutes.
"Thank you! Thank you so much, Dami! I love you forever!" Raven exclaimed whilst jumping up and down like a child who just got a toy off their parents. She gave Damian a kiss on the cheek before running off to KFC and dragging him along.
Once the two were inside they began to order their meals. Damian, being vegetarian, was not having much luck finding something. Raven was doing just fine though. She loved KFC and had ordered one big bucket all for herself.
Damian questioned whether or not she would eat the whole thing but then he remembered her diabolical eating habits which he learned about during their two years as friends.
Thinking back, Damian couldn't believe him and Raven were together. He had long wanted to be with her but he doubted if it would ever happen. To think he didn't even make the first move, he couldn't believe he was this lucky.
"Dami, our order's ready." Said Raven after she pulled his arm.
"Oh right, sorry I spaced out. Wait what about me?" Asked Damian with curiosity.
"I got you covered, I ordered 3 different vegetarian options. Should be enough I think." Raven said with a smile.
"Thank you." Damian replied. He returned with a smile of his own and the two walked to the front to collect their orders.
"Oh no." Damian groaned.
"Isn't that...?" Raven asked.
"Yes. Todd." Damian replied, groaning yet again.
"Hey there, Little D!" Called Jason. Jason Todd was Damian's adopted older brother. He was laid back and what some would describe as a loose cannon. He took different jobs all the time and would often disappear for long periods of time. This was also the reason that Raven had only ever met him once.
"Is that Raven? Wait... are you two?" Jason began speaking before being interrupted by Damian.
"Yes Todd, we're romantically involved with one another." Damian said with disdain aimed at Jason.
"I was gonna say banging but that works too I guess." Jason laughed. Raven immediately blushed and held onto Damian's arm.
"Can we just have our food, Todd?" Damian asked, well it was more like a demand.
"Yeah, yeah. God you're grumpy. Here you go." Returned Jason.
"Thank you, goodbye." Damian said.
Upon leaving the restaurant the two made their way back to their apartment. They said a quick hello to Titus before sitting on the couch and watching Netflix.
"Mmmmm this is so good, I love it." Raven all but yelled. She had somehow eaten half the bucket within the first 10 minutes they were home.
"Do you plan on giving yourself diabetes or becoming obese?" Damian spat. Raven responded with shocked and sad eyes towards him. Damian realised that she didn't like that and he didn't know why he said it like that, or at all.
"I'm sorry I didn't mean to hurt you." Damian apologised but Raven had began to cry. "Raven no don't cry, I'm sorry." Damian said frantically.
"It's not that." Raven whimpered. She faced Damian and cried even more. "I don't wanna feel like a burden and I don't want it to seem like I'm taking advantage of you. Clearly I am. I've never really had good meals so this is exciting for me." Raven confessed.
Damian pulled her into a tight embrace which she returned. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean anything by it, it just slipped out. You're not a burden at all. I'm glad you can have a good meal and that I can provide that for you. You could never take advantage of me, my life belongs to you." Damian admitted.
Raven cleared her eyes of her tears and smiled at him. She kissed him and he could taste the gravy still on her mouth but he didn't care. "You're so cliché." Raven said before laughing. He laughed too before Raven buried her head in his chest. "I love you, you know."
"I know, I love you too. You better be talking to me and not the chicken." Raven laughed at Damian's joke remembering how he doesn't joke all that much and to savour the moment.
"Nope I'm talking to you. The chicken is good tho." Said Raven. They both laughed before finishing their meals and the show they were watching.
They fell asleep on the couch in each other's arms while Titus managed to sprawl his small body across both his owners/parents.
On Damian's phone, which was in the bedroom, he received multiple texts from Jason. He dreaded any time or just anything to do with Jason. He realised in his sleep that he let that get to him which is why he managed to insult Raven accidentally. Thankfully he spends more time with Raven and loves her more.
