My Only Love

No more

Again. It happened to her again... yet another person tried to take advantage of her. Yet another person tried to take her. Yet another person tried to violate her.

Why? Was this always going to happen? Was this something she'd always have to go through?

No. No she knows, one person and one person only can he trusted with her. The person she loves. The person who loves her. Who treats her better than anyone ever has. Damian.

"Raven. You're not alone. I will protect you." Damian said. He pulled Raven from her thoughts.

She was still processing what happened with Garfield. School had ended and the day had gone on with people swarming her like bats. They wondered what happened and why.

She didn't care that these people could finally see her and actually care. She just wanted to go home, where she felt safe. She had given herself to one person and one person only. That would never change.

Raven turned in bed to see Damian. His eyes looked like he was serious about what he said. She knew from his voice he was. Of course he was and she knew she could rely on him. But could she keep asking him to do that, it wasn't fair. She can't repay him in any way. She just had her love and she thought he needed more.

"I know. But I don't want to be a burden. I can't ever repay you for all you've done for me. I'm trouble for you and I don't want you to stay with me if I'm just gonna be a burden to you." Raven said. She found it so hard to say those words. She wants more than anything to be with Damian but she doesn't think she can forgive herself if he got hurt because of her.

"Don't you dare say something like that again." Damian murmured.

"What?"

"Don't. Say. That. Again." Damian said in a clear and serious tone. His message was loud and clear. Breaking up was not an option. Raven was honestly thankful of this but at the same time she was worried.

"I know you're afraid, Raven. I'd be worried if you weren't but I don't need you to pay me back. You already are by simply being here with me. You have no idea how lucky I feel." Damian said. He stroked her hand as he lay beside her. Damian didn't want her to think like she was. He knew how paranoid she could be and he was capable of defending himself and her.

"I'm sorry." She began to cry. "I don't want to be away from you. I just don't want you to suffer because of me." Raven cried and practically dived into Damian's arms. He rubbed her back and kept whispering 'it's ok'.

"I'll never leave you. I'm sorry. I can't help feeling like this." She cried again. Damian understood. Of course he did. He knew how many times this had happened now and he was powerless to stop it the first 2. The third was when that changed. He couldn't do anything before but he can now.

"Raven, I'm not mad. I just don't want you to feel like this. I want you to be happy. I want you to be safe. I want you with me. You have no idea how happy I am with you. I'm going to protect you no matter what and I don't care what you say to stop me." Damian confessed. He kissed Raven on the head. She turned up and met his gaze with tears in her eyes, which Damian rubbed away. She smiled and kissed him. They stayed like that for a while and just felt peace.

Raven knew that Damian would protect her now and there was nothing she could do to stop him. Not that she wanted to. She knew that her worries were just from stress and paranoia and was so thankful to Damian.

She had nothing and now she had him.

Raven wanted to be with Damian forever. Though she doesn't feel ready to admit that to him. She wants to protect him too. She knows about his past too. The assassins and all. She would protect him in any situation.

Once they returned to school they found that Garfield had been put as far away from Raven as possible. He was actually expelled and potentially facing prison but that depended on Raven pressing charges. She didn't know what to do but she had a week to decide. Damian said she should and she listened.

Garfield was put in juvenile prison for 6 months and would be given a restraining order upon release. Raven felt happy to finally have a victory in her life.

She later gave herself to Damian in another wonderful night. She proved to herself that they belonged to each other and no one else and faced her fears.

All was well until Bruce summoned the couple to the manor to discuss the situation and Raven was not too keen...

I finally have internet again 😂. Think this chapter has some of my best writing and I hope you enjoy it. I feel a lot of women suffer this sort of stuff so I tried to sympathise and I am sorry you have to deal with this kind of shit.
